Dear MistressLorelei, Ladies and Gentlemen; Yes, indeed -- the collar with padlock open means available. This 'code' has been around since the mid-1990s on the East coast. Right arm, an arm band means submissive/slave but; it doesn't mean they're own. Much like dominants use to wear floggers on the left side, arm bands went left side as well; similar to the key code. Really throws back to mounting a horse, the sword hung on the left side as to not bang into the horse and due to the long blades of the day, permitted the right hand to draw the sword out of it's sheath. Hanging a collar off the right side also has been used as to denote a submissive/slave available. Chain collars seem to work best as it hangs better off the side than a stiff leather collar. (Loop of leather sticks out and disturbs the neat and tidy look) Respectfully submitted for consideration, Lady Hugs
