MedicalBoy1984 -> Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 9:15:01 AM)

Hello, people are always complaining about the (seemingly) ever more prolific, number of time wasters. To counteract this, I believe everyone should be entitled to leave feedback about everyone on here.
There are at least two obstacles to this…
1. A time wasters can just delete their account, and create a new one with a neutral rating.
2. A more motivated time waster would set up a fake e.g. Female Dom profile(s) to compliment their fake e.g. Submissive mail profile.

So the only way to stop this would be for Collar Me to still allow people to 100% delete their account, but to somewhere (in their computer system) record the IP address of all past users for say e.g. 2 years, plus.

Of course there are still ways to get fake IP addresses, and someone controlling computers with more than one IP address could still rate their own profile. However at least it would be a lot harder for the 90% of time wasters who simply can’t be bothered to do this, and it could be a made a bit harder too if the average user ratings, of the average positive-negative ratter of your profile was published as well (i.e. if everyone to have given you a bad-good rating has themselves a bad rating, then that indicates not all is as it seems).

So do you think this is a good idea?

Its a horrible idea. Seriiously if you cannot spot fake within a few emails, your lightbulb might not be fully lit.

No, it is not a good idea - for the reasons you listed yourself, and oh so many more.

windchymes -> RE: Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 9:40:23 AM)

Oh yeah, we need more self-important, superficial, ego-driven adolescent mentalities in here.

ResidentSadist -> RE: Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 9:43:55 AM)

What exactly is a "time waster" to you . . . someone that won't send you pics of them with a cucumber up their ass while holding today's paper after the first email?
Is someone a "faker" if they wont have real in-the-flesh contact within a week or two?
Is someone a "faker" that doesn't sit all day at their computer to instantly answer the random CM email?

Seriously, if I am pursuing someone from CollarMe and they aren't in my cage or my bed within a week or two of initial contact, it's a waste of time.  Other people wait months.  Some people only wait minutes and sit there impatiently waiting for a email reply . . . only to get upset and make fools of themselves if the reply doesn't come fast enough.

If they are gonna' introduce ratings, it should be based on how well a slave's mascara runs when she cries while you asphyxiate her with your cock.
1 tear - she cried but forgot to wear mascara
2 tears - only one eye got watered up and flowed down her cheek
3 tears - both eye flowing, good streaks and lots of gagging noises
4 tears - both eyes, noisy with quivering and quaking
5 tears - full blown rabid raccoon look, frothy slime drooling, muffled screaming in fear while gagging and cum shot out her nose

just sayin'

mnottertail -> RE: Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 9:48:40 AM)

Exactly my point.

How can a slut rate me until she actually gobbles the scepter of Milord, LordGagshaft?

GreedyTop -> RE: Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 9:53:46 AM)

hangemhigh1953 -> RE: Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 10:02:54 AM)

No, because good, real people can still get bad ratings. I personally know someone who's super awesome from here that other users have complained about.

To everyone saying “no” you are clearly in the majority, and for this reason your opinion should prevail. But given "the world is what you make of it" don’t blame anyone else when someone discusses their fantasies with you over a period of weeks-months, arranges to meet up with you, and never shows up. But do feel sorry for the next person they move onto as they enjoy their selfishness & masturbation!

ResidentSadist: Maybe you are not from the English speaking world, and this explains why you don’t understand what a "time waster" is? Or maybe (more probably) you just require others to think for you? I'll oblige: A time waster: Is anyone who is dishonest about their intentions, and who utilises this dishonesty to waste others time (by wrongly-falsely building up their expectations).

WinsomeDefiance: No, it is not a good idea - for the reasons you listed yourself, and oh so many more.

If there’s so many more (then just out of curiosity) which amongst them, is most alarming, to you?

Meanwhile perhaps it would be a great thing if anyone arrogant enough to think they're own experience-brainpower is so mighty, that they couldn't possibly be deceived by anyone with false intentions, could have the opportunity to learn-experience that this isn't actually the case? But guess that's clearly a matter for life, chance and "God"!

pretty much.

Oh, and I vote no.

myotherself -> RE: Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 10:16:42 AM)

The thing about the internet is that it's a wonderful tool for masturbation. If you choose to share the details of your kinkiest fantasies with a total stranger who may or may not be who they say they are, then you risk being the source of wank fodder.

What you need to do is to do what ResidentSadist said (albeit in a very roundabout, slightly hot way *cough*) is to meet the person behind the mail. If there are endless excuses why this can't happen, coupled with more requests for sexy chat, then you need to use the hide, block, delete button and move on.

Many of us on here make it clear in our profiles that we don't do online fantasy stuff for that very reason. It quickly weeds out the wank-merchants and leaves us with the real deal. So take the responsibility upon yourself to screen the people you talk to a little better and you will find you waste less time in the process.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Should Collar Me Introduce Ratings? (8/25/2011 10:22:40 AM)

Umm, wow - first of all, I don't find any of it 'alarming.'  Just not very feasible.  You even point out the logistic problems yourself in your own thread. People can be vindictive S.O.B's and over really petty stuff.  Providing a rating system just gives the vindictive and petty people a tool to harass people with.

Before I changed my profile, I would get quite a bit of mail and I can't tell you how many times someone who felt rejected wrote me with some really hateful and spiteful shit.  Last thing I'd want, is for someone like that to have the ability of 'rating me' when I did nothing more than say thank you for taking the time to write me but I'm not available or interested - best wishes in your search.

Rating systems, blacklisting and other such ideas are only as valuable as the integrity of those using the system and I'm here to tell you - my experience with the integrity of people online isn't all that positive.

So, you can piss vinegar all you like, but in my opinion, it is a BAD idea.  Your mileage may vary and kudos to you for that.

WinD
