Since the term "Negro" pretty much covered all the choices, why did we stop using it? Not that we need it, but since the question has arisen....? "Negro" didn't designate a country of origin like the other terms do, it was strictly race. I truly hope this doesn't sound insulting, it's not meant to be. I'm just throwing this comment out there for discussion.

if we had to choose one, I would vote for colored.. and use that to apply to EVERY race.. because none of us are without color (even you who claim to be fish belly white.. there is STILL some tint to your skin tone).
