Second, Obama made the knife comment in 2008. Gifford was shot when? Come on, you remember, I'm sure.
Dont bring a knife to a gun fight. Its an old saying. Most people recognize it. Implying that the gun is in all ways a superior weapon to the knife. Republicans started the knife fight... Obama stated he would bring his gun. There was no threat in that, other than what was in your mind, the spin on Fox and the rantings of Beck.
