Rick Perry prays for Rain, G-d sets Texas on fire.

You do the math.

tazzygirl -> RE: Rick Perry prays for Rain, G-d sets Texas on fire. (9/6/2011 11:50:15 AM)

As much as people like to poke fun at the GOP.... there are other people who are hurting because of these fires. Lets not forget that.

As far as the prayer meeting, its not any different than when it was held to prevent the health care bill from becoming law.

The fact that the burnings are out of control is a source of worry, for the people involved, yes. But these political right people use the hurricanes and earthquakes as a "sign" of gods wrath against whatever is in the political news ARE the ones that are the issue, which is where my comment comes from.
Bachmann tried to use it, perry has used it...until it doesnt work in their favour
I would never wish harm on any texan just to make a political point out of perry
shame the religious right doesnt get it

I have a feeling Fargle's issue here is that Perry ain't Jewish so God/G_d didn't listen! [:D]

tazzygirl -> RE: Rick Perry prays for Rain, G-d sets Texas on fire. (9/6/2011 11:58:37 AM)

Wasnt brought up when all those hurricanes started making bee lines for florida during the Bush years..... ah well. Funny that, huh.

ClassIsInSession -> RE: Rick Perry prays for Rain, G-d sets Texas on fire. (9/6/2011 12:04:43 PM)

It might also be something to note that Perry supported Al Gore's campaign. Perry is no friend to Texas.

Lucylastic -> RE: Rick Perry prays for Rain, G-d sets Texas on fire. (9/6/2011 12:07:07 PM)

funny but texans seem to disagree with that statement.
well republican texans anyway
I know plenty of dems from texas who would agree

Well, I'm a "republican" and I don't like Perry at all, and I know quite a few in my party that do not.

He vowed to back the anti-groping policy that came up for vote in Texas and played political chess to get out of it.

He wants to build an 8 lane superhighway right through Texas (from Canada to Mexico) and let a spanish company build, maintain and charge for it...which would be one of the largest imminent domain land grabs in history.

He's weak on immigration.

And for further note, I'm a republican but I hate neocons. I don't promote corporatism, though I believe true free market capitalism is what built our nation strong.
And really I think either side of the aisle are two heads of the same snake.

joether -> RE: Rick Perry prays for Rain, G-d sets Texas on fire. (9/6/2011 12:39:30 PM)

Mr. Perry and Mr. Obama share a similar problem: a huge problem that isn't going away on their watch. Mr. Perry's 'enemy' is both the weather and fire. Two forces Mr. Perry can't control, nor will listen to reason, logic, or just basic human compassion. Yeah, those fires are sheerly devistating to fellow Americans. I really hope some good can come out of all that horrible event. Many Americans lost their homes and dreams, and for that, I pray something good comes their way soon.

Mr. Obama's problem is the economy. Unlike Mr. Perry's enemies in his issue, Mr. Obama's are humans (in the physical sense) and belong to the GOP. The GOP will not listen to reason, logic, or just basic human compassion. They actually want the economy to stay in a recession if not a Depression. Because in their minds, a "bad economy = one term president'. So, all us Americans will suffer in one form or another, due to the GOP's ego and thirst for power.

Yawwwwwwwwnnnnnnn!!!!

Really, weather prayers, natural disasters?????!!!!????!??!?!?!?!

How fucking petty, politicians are alway doing something stupid in regards to or try and make hay out of a natural disaster, because they are assholes. I mean you have to be a special kind of asshole to want to run for office. Your family is run through the meat grinder. With that in mind it takes a very narcissistic asshole to want that glory for such a high price.

Ignore this shit

And George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were voted in....TWICE....by people that craved that sort of mentality. What does that say of those voters?

Yes and there are those who use hurricanes and earthquakes as a sign of global warming and blame it on Bush.[:D]

Just on a side note.... Perry doesnt seem to be getting much love these days. Seems there is a todo over him using a friends plane... seems the friend is being investigated by the SEC.

Why would a spanish company build a road from canada to mexico?

He's weak on immigration.

Neither govornors nor presidents make immigration policy.
Just who is it that you do not want immigrating to the u.s.?

And for further note, I'm a republican but I hate neocons. I don't promote corporatism, though I believe true free market capitalism is what built our nation strong.

Define "free market capitalism" and just what it did to make the u.s. strong?

And really I think either side of the aisle are two heads of the same snake.

I could not agree more
