Kirata -> Who Won? (9/7/2011 11:41:06 PM)

Who do you think won the Republican debate at the Reagan library?

With 57,408 votes tallied as of this post, the far and away winner (taking 45.2% of all votes cast) was Ron Paul.

Romney came in a distant second with less than half of Paul's tally at 20.5% of the votes.
And Perry slumped behind with only 15.9%.

Nobody else got even half of Perry's dismal count:
    Huntsman, 7.5%
    Gingrich, 4.1%
    Cain, 3.0%
    Bachmann, 2.6%
    Santorum, 1.2%
This is getting interesting!

In my view, and from a strategical standpoint, given Romney needed to gain back ground from Perry, Romney was the "winner" in that sense (as I believe he accomplished this goal), but I don't believe there was a clear winner of the debate.

The above aside, I currently view the candiates this way:

Front Runners:  Perry and Romney

Potentials: Gingrich and Santorum

Not a hope in Hell:  Paul, Cain, Bachmann, and Huntsman

Perry said some things he is gonna wish he hadn't.

Termyn8or -> RE: Who Won? (9/8/2011 3:16:29 AM)

They got a real interesting way of drawing a bar graph I see.

I wasn't aware that in the new math 47.9% was about equal to 19.1%. I guess I'm just old fashioned.

Louve00 -> RE: Who Won? (9/8/2011 4:10:11 AM)

I couldn't begin to say who won, but I liked what Mitt Romney had to say (especially when him and Perry were going tit for tat lol) and I liked the "999" theory Cain talked about.  Perry was an energetic speaker, but I didn't like that talk of SS being a ponzy scheme.  Then, I feel, give me back all the money I've contributed into it NOW, (if he should get the job), so I can determine how best to spend MY hard earned money.  (This is not my stance on SS, but if it is his and he should get elected, I damn sure don't want him using my accrued SS as his play money!).  I've always agreed with some things Ron Paul believes in.  But the bulk of what he stands for, I believe is too radical).  I wish I was able to vote in the primary.  I would vote for a moderate republican (the old-fashioned republican), over a crazed loon screaming ponzy scheme to hype everyone up.  Crazy loons mean Obama keeps my vote.

housesub4you -> RE: Who Won? (9/8/2011 6:53:50 AM)

I don't think anyone did.  It just showed the race is going to be between Romney and Perry

It seems to me that Romney was talking more to Wall street and Corp America than to the people who are going to cast votes

Perry reminded me of the quote Clinton used in 2004 when Bush got re-elected, the American people will vote for wrong and  strong then someone who appears weak and right.  There where quite a few incorrect facts put forth by Perry  Though he was the only one how actually looked into the camera when he talked, so at least he got really good advise from his team

MS stands for Microsoft

LSD stands for lysergic diethylamide

You are a moron

The post was in reference to the bizarre MSNBCs bar graph, as Termy pointed out its insane

And I pointed out thats why theyre appropriately referred to as MSLSD (rather than MSNBC).

Get it?

Or is it still way over your head... [:D]

Lucylastic -> RE: Who Won? (9/8/2011 8:02:43 AM)

My god what a load of hot air, cut taxes , the trickle down theory AGAIN??? WTF?
how can you take any of them seriously
I actually liked Huntsman out of all of em, but even that opinion has lots of caveats.
PS REAGAN IS DEAD it worked 30 years ago or did it, BUT the point is, IT WONT WORK TODAY
Ron paul is living in cloud cuckoo land. 300 million people and few regulations is ignorant and dangerous, except to people like him

DomYngBlk -> RE: Who Won? (9/8/2011 8:05:26 AM)

So in the end,,,,Obama won

Lucylastic -> RE: Who Won? (9/8/2011 8:07:42 AM)
