Just asking for a read and comment here. Why would a left leaning media source team up with the "Tea Party"?

So they can claim to have the edge on "fair an balanced"?
To piss off some of fox' viewership and lure a better class of ignorant ex fox viewers???
To cover their arses?
I always thought they had a centrist lean not left at all, but im sure that will get trashed.
Maybe ther see how wide the divide is between the parties they are trying to bridge the gap?
Have you noticed that Yahoo is leaning more and more to the right?
I also notice nobody has brought up the debate last night!
Just a few thoughts...

Nope, Paul did a wonderful job expsing himself for what he is. The crowd backed him to the hilt
Someone who wants to take the country back in time.
And thinks hospitals churches and charities have the ability to take the slack.
The fact that the failure of charity, churches and hospitals to cover the numbers of people needing care is one of the reasons that socialism started.

I watched it- and they are just as bad as the others at not letting Ron Paul talk.    If I had a nickle for every time- Wolf said "Perry", I could by Cleveland.

Hill,

Not sure what they are trying to do for their industry. I guess they are trying to absolutely, positively make sure that the entire news media is completely devoid of any credibility with the public anymore. Not that having tea party people around to debate an issue with other political theorists is not a credible thing to do, but letting it grind itself into some kind of Jerry Springer event is.

The key is that old Wolfy was handling it. I have never been impressed with his ability to handle a debate and hold people to their statements and facts.

Well, lucy, that's why I said left-leaning, not leftist. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 as far right and 10 as far left, I'd call CNN about a 6.5 to 7. that's relatively close to the middle but definitely not on the right side of the scale. I, on the other hand would be about a 4. right side of the scale but still closer to the middle than the wingnuts on either side.

Why dont you actually start a topic on the debate if you wanna whine about Pauls major fuck up
The topic is why the teaparty and CNN have "joined in hellish wedlock"
not your hurt feelings.

Hill.. Im sure we all give the grades according to our "outlook" as one of the righties I enjoy, Im quite happy to go with your figures.

MHM It doesnt sound like you had any trust in MSM anyway.. just from your words.. what DO you use as a MSM source? just askin

Just asking for a read and comment here. Why would a left leaning media source team up with the "Tea Party"?

Because number one they are not really left-leaning as the conservatives would want everyone to believe, and second they are ratings whores just like every other network.

So they can claim to have the edge on "fair an balanced"?
Unusual maybe but they have a little ways to go to claim that.
To piss off some of fox' viewership and lure a better class of ignorant ex fox viewers???
I don't know about other viewers but I'm not pissed and I would not consider myself ignorant.
To cover their arses?
Cover their asses over what ? Their supposed liberal bias ?
I always thought they had a centrist lean not left at all, but im sure that will get trashed.
I think they have always leaned left. Before FOX came along I watched CNN. I still do on sometimes and compared to FOX they are boring.
Maybe ther see how wide the divide is between the parties they are trying to bridge the gap?
I couldn't say for sure but anything is possible.
Have you noticed that Yahoo is leaning more and more to the right?
I haven't noticed but how so do you think ?  I thought the article leaned more to the left.
I also notice nobody has brought up the debate last night!
Me too and Hill finally brought it up.

I like Gingrich still despite those silly commercials with Pelosi and giving lip service to man made global warming. He shines when it's his turn to speak and on this one I would give him the win. If it came down to the general election, win or lose I would give anything to see him debate Obama. Given that opportunity I don't see how he could lose.

This was the best debate so far and the questions were better than in the other debates.

Just a few thoughts...

What does that mean? You could pass by it?

Trust me, no one there would miss you.

I think he got slammed with the 9-11 and Iran questions, booing and all, and that exposure was far worse. Perry was booed at one point too. And the dork Utah governor accusing perry of treason was absurd at best.
