Well for one thing, the timing is unfortunate and maybe not accidental. It probably isn't easy to shill for campaign donations when you have to tell your base that the last money they gave you got misused. That doesn't inspire a lot of trust. Also, I was wondering to what extent some of these candidates might be accused of breaching campaign finance laws. Again, bad timing in the midst of gearing up for an election..

Murdock is known on these boards... lol As far as the OP, she admitted to the embezzlement, and she will pay. I dont see this as rocking any base. Its been happening for years, on both sides of the isle. I think voters will take it in stride with the knowledge that crooks dont care about party lines. Instead, they will be thankful this one got caught along with the rest.

I dont see how this negatively effects Democrats. The person stole the money from people that were trusting of the person. That is why its called 'embezzlement'. This happens to companies, organizations and even ordinary people. Should we all reflect negatively towards those entities as well? Its worst when the embezzler takes from a non-profit charity trying to do something noble; like find a cure for cancer with children that suffer from that terrible illness. How does it effect Democrats exactly?
