I know that Awareness was merely joking, and taking a poke at male subs.  However, there may be a bit of truth to his jest.  If you look at the large number of male subs who frequent this site (and others like it), and the small number of female Dommes (relatively speaking), I'm sure that there is a lot of disillusionment that goes on.

How many times have we seen male subs make posts about how it's impossible to even get a Domme to reply to a message, much less actually get into a relationship with one?  I'm sure those sentiments quickly morph into disillusionment.  But where the disillusioned male subs actually go is anyone's guess.

That's a slightly different discussion than what Dark Steven originally described in his OP, but it's definitely a related topic.

I would disagree JanahX, not everyone who gets disillusioned on CM lacks a real and valid life, anyone who has been here for any length of time knows that for every real person here, there are 20 scammers, generally dishonest people or just plain incompatible people to what you may happen to be looking for. This site just like any other social network works to varying degrees. I think that's a broad brush you're painting with.

I run a company, interview in the media fairly frequently and have quite a lot going on in my life, and I've been on CM on and off for quite a long time. I've met some people here, had a few relationships that started here and elsewhere, but what goes on when I'm not on here is far from a Star Trek convention.
