There are certain times when i am address him as Master. The rest of the time it's mostly nicknames and terms of endearment from either side of the kneal.
Since most people know him by the name Chaos, this is what i started using in public. It just came along naturally, and we're both rather happy with it.
He has many names for me, but his favourite is "My tainted fae".

I will often answer yes or no questions with "sir," but for the most part I call him either Master, his first name, his last name, or a certain derivative/nickname of his last name in endearment. It really depends on the circumstance and it doesn't really matter to him which one I use as long as it's appropriate and respectful (I imagine he wouldn't be too thrilled with me using that last one I mentioned while we're going at it in bed.)

I really like to be called Sir. There is just something in it that turns something on somewhere inside of me. It works for vanilla or l/s settings.

I may be odd, but I prefer a sub to use the short version of my first name. It isn't what title she uses that floats my boat, but rather the respect she shows me. Either I earn her respect, or I fail. But what she calls me is moot.

Or as my grandfather once said to me, call me anything you want - just don't call me late for supper!

As far as I'm concerned, self-appointed titles and such are for people who doubt their dominance or submission and need to be reminded of it regularly so they don't forget what role they are pretending to fill.

I went to North Carolina a couple of years ago and found that being called Honey by a woman in a southern accent is pretty nice, I think I could live with that. Other than that my regular old name is just fine. It's the tone of voice that makes all the difference in whether you are being given respect or not.

I don't even really care about the tone of voice, as long as she does what she's supposed to do. Authority doesn't require titles or tones of voice, none of that proves anything, the only thing that proves or shows authority is that it be recognized and complied with. And if you don't consider compliance as adequate evidence of respect for your authority, then it's you who doesn't recognize or respect your own authority.

I am more and more of the opinion that the vast majority of dominants of both sexes are very insecure people that have some major self esteem issues.

We call each other by our first names, or honey, love or any other endearments. We're not a d/s dynamic, more of a sadist/masochist.

I have a really strong preference for being called by my regular name. Occasionally I've played with subs who wanted to call me "Sir", and I can live with that if it helps them with the dynamic.

I absolutely refuse to be called "Master" by a sub I'm dominant to, but I correspond with a couple of subs who address me as "Master", and while I do cringe a bit, I work on the basis that it's intended as a mark of respect and put up with it.

I have always wanted anyone in a longer term relationship (or one with depth) to call me something unique* -- and so it is now -- my boy calls me her Lady or Ma Dame (if we're in a French kinda mode) ... those who must use an honorific use Ma'am.. although I'm not very comfortable with anyone I am not in a relationship using that kind of title.. but you just can't stop some people.

The boys in the leather club call me Lady Lisa... they are all great guys and I am happy they call me that. The submissive boys in my close leather circle call me Miss Lisa... that distinguishes them from others who don't know me well.

In truth, other than my boy, I would prefer everyone just use my first name -- yep, Lisa.


*the older I get and more relationships I have, the harder that gets... I told my boy that she's my last as I've run out of appropriate unique names... LOL

I just call him by his name or "baby" or "sweetie," in public and private, unless he tells me otherwise. Then I call him "Master" or "Sir." He has certain moods. He just calls me whatever he wants..."slut" or "sweetie" or "hon" or "potato." The potato one is a long story...
