erieangel -> Sanders' job plan (9/21/2011 8:19:57 PM)

Can anybody actually and honestly say that this country doesn't need all these infrastructure projects Sanders has outlined?

Can anybody actually and honestly say how they are going to be paid for?

erieangel -> RE: Sanders' job plan (9/21/2011 8:28:15 PM)

This is why we need to tax the rich.  And remember, a strong infrastructure makes this country strong.

Why not?  The Republican god, Reagan, certainly had.

Limited and targeted tax increases, not Individual taxes and capital gains taxes and only after the Dems lied about spending cuts.

Termyn8or -> RE: Sanders' job plan (9/21/2011 8:40:49 PM)

Actualy they don't even have to stop spending it. If they would just stop stealing it we would be fine.

T^T

Well, what should be done is to make sure that the geographic that object the most to infrastructure spending GET THEIR WISH. SoCal should get their next pothole filed in 2030 using that model. Places like Wisconsin should start hoping the next round of glaciers are fairly smooth.

You mean looked after by raising their share of total taxes? Yeah, they sure got a deal.

You're right... I was backspacing and forgot to replace a key word. Here is the corrected Post... sorry..

I guess so. If youve got inner ear problems and spend your life upside down.

SoCal? They would actually vote for Obama again, and beg for infrastructure money.

But Id certainly be happy to recapture the net $.25 if every tax dollar the CA donates to the other states in exchange for the paltry $100 million or so that Sanders would allocate. Most of it would go for a bridge to Canada, so he can escape after he gets his "Independent" ass handed to him in 2012.

Wow... See when I call my 'cured' class sociopath /' classmate from highschool who's now a very successful geologist in San Diego, he makes it sound like it's an armed camp for the GOP. He used to send me pics of him hugging Dubyah and Ahnold.
Nah it should have little to do with what you guys allege you contribute. It should have to do with the length of the hair your region puts up the rest of the country's ass... which right now circles the earth several hundred times if you talk to someone from outside the region.
Californians are just bitchy by nature these days.

erieangel -> RE: Sanders' job plan (9/21/2011 9:22:00 PM)

I doubt Sanders is in danger of losing his job.  He is beloved up there.

I tend to doubt it also, but I dont doubt that the GOP will have 58-60 seats after the shitstorm that is going to hit the Dems.

Or in cases where you weren't deluded enough to think Reagan was anything more than a prop to make GHW Bush a three term President
