ORIGINAL: Dreamscaper27 I just need more info on what the specific type of lock is. best I can come up with is combo or padlock, just not sure of the best size and brand. I can't be the first person to ever need to locate a more secure lock for a chastity belt, so it's amazing that nobody (as of yet) knows of any specific brands and more reliable locks to reference. ie: if he fiddles with it, I wouldn't want him to simply fiddle it off. And yes, he wants me to have more control instead of less control. This way, he has less power to decide over his own fate. If I put him in a cheaper lock for the device, it will very likely be more enticing for him to tamper with to test it and see if it's removable. More control is better in this scenario. Okay, let me give this one more try. You definitely need a lock with a key. A combination lock will be too big. It won't fit the device. Moreover, combination locks are unsafe. People forget the combinations to locks all the time (I'm not saying that YOU will. But it's a very common occurrence). Key locks always come with spare keys. So even if you lose a key, you'll always have a backup. Also, any locksmith can open a key lock in a matter of seconds if you lose both keys. A combination lock is another matter altogether. The brand of lock doesn't matter. Any commercial lock that fits will be fine. The opening for most chastity devices is rather small, so you won't be able to use a big, secure lock like you might use on a storage unit or a school locker. But other than the illusion of force, the bigger locks will provide no greater security. Your sub won't be able to break the metal locks that typically come with the device. He can "fiddle with it", but it won't break. Of course, those plastic locks can be broken, but if he breaks it, you'll know it and will be able to punish him accordingly. Finally, I've never known of a sub who went to a locksmith to help him remove a lock on a chastity device. Doing so would be incredibly embarrassing. One other factor that you'll want to consider is when he'll be wearing the device. If you want him to wear it when he's away from you, then a smaller lock will actually be better. Chastity devices can be bulky and leave a noticeable bulge in his pants. A big lock will multiply the problem. So a smaller lock is actually better (even though it reduces the sense of "force"). Finally, since it sounds like this is new to both of you, I recommend that he wear pleated pants when he's in chastity. Pleated pants provide more room in the front to make the device (and lock) less visible. Hope that helps.
