Christy isn`t running for POTUS in '12'.

He hasn`t even finished his 2nd year here in NJ.A half term governor isn`t going to win president,no matter what party or how popular they are.

There`s been rumors that he plans to run, using Jersey as a spring board.

It wouldn`t look good him announcing, half way through his 1st term.It would confirm criticism that he`s in it for himself and not here to make Jersey a better state.

And obviously,cons haven`t gotten the memo yet but his approval rating has tanked.

Christie’s favorability rating is now at 43%, while teachers, whom he tussled with on benefits and pay, are at 76%. “Teachers I know got laid off because of him,” said one respondent. “He’s not in favor of the average working person.” That view seemed pervasive: 68% believed Christie stands with the business community, while just 22% said he sides with “ordinary New Jerseyans.”

Jersey`s credit rating was just lowered and the joy ride in the state trooper chopper and his mishandling of it after made him look weak and hypocritical,considering everything is getting cut.We had the nations best schools when he took over and seems bent on ruining that too.

I really don`t get the appeal Christie has for cons nation-wide.He`s a dunce and has fucked up quite a bit and hasn`t really delivered here.Maybe it`s the "fox affect",leaving cons uninformed and out of the loop,but he`s a loser.

But if you cons want him,you can have him.He`s no Reagan,believe me.Reagan could at least act like a president.

The only explaination I can come up with as to why Chris Christie looks so good to republicans is that the present slate of republican candidates looks so awful.

Christie as superstar,......... really shows that are many cons that are jusrt completely clueless.

There`s no "there" there with him.lol

If cons are thinking he`s the spark that`ll "energise the base",they need to get a fuck`n grip.

Status: offline 		I agree with W. Kristol: Republican candidates look bad. Ron Paul is a different story, but he is not a mainstream Republican anyway. W. Kristol, of course, is not allowed to mention Paul. Lot of things will happen between now and the summer 2012. I hope Ron Paul will run as an independent. With Obama approval rating in negative territory he will have real chance of winning. Especially, when he will find a way to communicate a clear vision what his policies would be.  Now Paul is scary for many who think lot of things will be taken away from them. The economy will tank further for sure, and it will increase Paul's chances.

My point was harking back to several arguments I've had with other "liberals" about the use of the term "neo-con".  I don't know if you were one of them.

The argument was that the use of "neo-con" was simply a descriptive, non-pejorative term.  My contention was that any term intended as an insult, is an insult.  Be it "neo-con" or "metrosexual".

I'm not even going to bother looking again.  I've done it before, and I'm familiar with the "myth" argument, and know that it is flawed.

I'd ask that you consider looking yourself, and when you do so, work it like you were in debate class, and had to take a position that you disagreed with.

I personally was in the military starting in 1979, and met and worked with active duty soldiers who claim that this happened to them.

Could they have been making it up?  Possibly.  But the events they described to me were accurate as to times and locations, and their service.

Also, the last time this came up, there was at least one public figure who served in the military in Vietnam to whom it occurred and went on record with the details in order to debunk the "myth that it is a myth".  I don't remember who, but it wasn't that long ago.

All I am doing is suggesting you go a bit beyond your own biases and do a little original research, rather than repeat comforting ideological speaking points that fit your own biases.

Grow a little, in other words.
