I don't know what you remember about the famous TV family but my connection to them wasn't religious. Is that your view of the Osmonds? I see them as goofballs who adorned the Lawrence Welk show.

Sorry about being so picky, but the Osmonds "adorned" the Andy Williams show, not the Lawrence Welk show.

My maternal grandmother was a devoted Lawrence Welk fan - as a bad side effect we were forced to watch it with her in the days when there were only three channels on the TV.

Being a good Protestant Christian Republican, she wouldn't watch the Osmonds because they were godless Mormons.

You know... YOU'RE RIGHT... My point to my new political science 'teacher' remains the same ... But you're right... What I remember most was my great Unlcle Jack. previous owner of the trinity site, sitting in his 80 up his room at Sunnylawn on a saturday night, with his Narragansett beer and spanish peanuts. He'd say "ya know, those Lennon sisters can really belt out a tune"... and when he'd see the Osmonds he'd say "No better place within a  500 miles of Alamogordo than Salt Lake to look for your cattle after it's stolen"
