Given that...why doesnt your party nominate the whack job....come out of the closet,so to speak,as a totally dysfunctional
party....I am sure the left will be happy to let the chips fall where they fall in such a scenario [:)]

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Vote Obama (9/27/2011 12:25:11 PM)

My politically inclined friends from both parties have expressed an opinion that the 2012 election will be a total rout of one party or the other, from the states on up. Which party depends on who you are talking to, but I know which one I think should go.  The Republicans are going to have to come up with some much more compelling candidates than they have so far, even my Repub friends are decidedly unimpressed.

Perry - murderer and proud of it - unacceptable
Bachmann - conspiracy nut, homophobe and stupid - unacceptable
Romney - worst sort of capitalist, is running away from his record - unacceptable
Gingrich - is Gingrich - unacceptable
Frothy Mix - homophobe and stupid - unacceptable
Cain - nuts - unacceptable
Paul - nuts - unacceptable
Huntsman - worst thing is boring, has no hope of winning nomination - acceptable
Johnson - who? has no hope of winning the nomination - acceptable

So in that field there are precisely 2 people I could ever imagine voting for and their combined polling right now is around 4%. I'd bet that when Nov. 2012 rolls around I'll be voting for Obama as much to vote against what ever scumbag the Republican party nominates as I will be voting for Obama.

Hmmm.. I dont see Trump on your list, last thing i heard he was back on again in considering to run... (snicker)

He must be gearing up for another season of his reality show and wants some more publicity. Trump will never run for office.

You Kool-Ade drinkers can't seem to see that this election will not be one in which to vote "for" someone, it will be an election to vote "against" someone.

At this point it looks like I'll be voting for myself as a write-in candidate... again.

Oh well, at least I can say I got a vote for President of the United States... how many of you can say that?

Please post a copy of your birth certificate.

Johnson - who? has no hope of winning the nomination - acceptable

I like Gary Johnson over the others, easily. But you're right, no chance.

It's a sad state of affairs when in trying to pick a winner you know you can rule out the best candidates at the starting gate.

There is nobody who cant win except Bachman and Palin. Johnson had an impressive debate, and if he gets a bit more face time as a result, you never know.

I am feeling 98% assured its going to be Obama.

It is still his to lose, Ron, and if he plays it wrong enough, Gingrich or Palin could beat him. It's going to be ugly, no matter what.

xssve -> RE: Vote Obama (10/1/2011 7:15:19 PM)

Shit I might even vote for Johnson, he's my former governor, and about the only pub that I admire, he's pretty much a straight shooter, even made an exit speech in favor of decriminalization - in his exit speech, knowing full well the party would cut him off at the knees for expressing anything outside the party line: eliminate taxes on the wealthy, exempt the wealthy from all law and accountability, and cover the entire country with a dome impenetrable to anyone darker than snowdrift.

Why not? It's worked so well so far, yeah?

servantforuse -> RE: Vote Obama (10/1/2011 7:22:26 PM)

I hope that Herman Cain gets the republican nomination and gets elected. I think he would be a great choice as this countries first black president.

Yup, all true.

I've decided to root for Cain, myself, for now.

No, Mr Obama is not worthy of the title or office.

An Illegal alien, Communist, and Muslim walk into a bar. Bartender says "What'll it be Mr. President.

Yep, you just go right and ahead and vote for him because I know you will have a promising career at McDonalds.
