#OWS doesn't give a shit about corporate media coverage. If corporations are the problem, how is their media expected to do anything but sabotage our discussion of their failings?

Apple is a rotten company.

But there's 'something else' already. It's called Android, and it's an incredible platform. For example, I took my OG Droid, and loaded the most current, most popular 3rd party OS distribution for it, removing all the 'custom' crap Verizon loaded and keeping myself much more current with the core android code-base and features than VZ's updates.

And #Occupy has nothing against capitalism, per-se. It's the Corporate abuse of our politicians which is the problem. Once corporations are reminded that they are subservient to Real Live Human Beings Like You, and it's unlawful for them to tamper with the political system ( not having a vote, why should they have access to your representative? ) everything should be cool...

so, your 'Oh Noes, iPhonez!" histrionics are unwarranted. Credit where due though, it was an OK 'pearl clutching' attempt there, though...

So,because people have to eat, wear clothes and make a living, etc.,they have to kowtow your multi-national corporate friends?

"Please, take our money and then our bail-out money too,we won`t say anything......we promise....."

That actually sounds, exactly how the republicans sound.[:D]

I see nothing about anyone being paid to protest. I've seen NYWFP advertising for EMPLOYEES ( a.k.a: They're Job Creators ). NOWHERE in NYWFP's ad does it refer to #OWS.

Are you clutching your pearls because for a decade or more NYWFP has been working for the same basic agenda as #OWS? Well, you know... If that really bothers you you can get some professional help.

IN FACT, NYWFP's ad, to which you are supposedly referring to justify your irrational paranoia, says, AND I QUOTE DIRECTLY: "We're organizing in communities around New York State -- but we don't hire people to Occupy Wall Street. Then again, if you believe the laughable conspiracy theories from Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, this is probably the wrong job for you anyway."

Why do you hate the real Job Creators, bitch?

Normal people.....

Folks who aren`t drinking cool-aid......have no idea why you`re bringing up George Soros` name.

None.

Pathetic......

Yanno, heartcream, I am wholeheartedly in support of the Occupiers. But it's like they never heard of the Sixties. We old farts learned a LOT during that period; there's no need to reinvent the wheel. They have a huge untapped resource in us, but rather than asking for ideas about how to organize, communicate, and persuade, it seems like they have chosen to keep stumbling around in the dark looking for a candle.

I like that list of grievances; I've seen it several times so far. But surely there is SOMEBODY who can organize the damn thing.
For example:
"They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.

They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives or provide relief in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantial profit.

They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit."

Now why in the hell is that complaint about medicine stuck between two complaints about the energy corporations? Group that shit together. Group the Foreign policy shit together. I mean, I learned how to make outlines and organize my topics in the freakin' 9th grade.

It needs editing and proofreading.

More importantly, if they are going to call it a "Declaration", they should have patterned it after the D of I. That would make for a much more powerful presentation.

I am not getting they are closed to good ideas. it is like one guy said, protesting is not the thing that is going to affect the changes. I am pretty sure if you showed up with some helpful ideas they would be more than open to incorporate your good advice. Where are you getting that there is no interest in benefiting from the mistakes, good stuff that came fromt he 60's protests?

SlutJessi -> RE: 32 Pictures From Occupy Wall Street Protests (10/15/2011 5:47:06 PM)

From what i can see the OWS is a movement that excuses the horrible leadership of government and puts the blame for all our problems on Big banks and wall street, and by inferance the GOP

Which is a falsehood since at least 50% of the 1% are rich white and very liberal, yes those evil CEOs of those to big to fails are not only connected to govt in many ways but are themselves Democrats.

The tea party overlooks the corporate criminality and blames our pathetic lack of leadership on the great expance of govt into every facet of our live, and spending 15 trillion dollars more than we have.

The real problem is every facet of our leadership has failed us. Its not the system its those running it.

The tea party has more credibility because they did sweep a bunch of freshmen in, made some real change, a historical election and did actually shake the foundations of the establishment.

Will the OWS expect more from the leaders they put into place? I can tell you no democrat is worried, The GOP certainly isnt worried and the 1% are loving it. Tax the rich? Good luck with that. You only tax those that are trying to be rich. The rich already have their money.

My advice to OWS, start running for office. Start actually putting the dems on notice. You cant tell me Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Dodd, and the rest of them have done anything to stop what it is your protesting. You cant think evil corps arent in bed with the Ds as well as the Rs. If you really want to fight these powers realize your not going to do it sucking up to the Dem party.

Bottom line is, this nation needs to get out of debt, 15 trillion and adding 2 trill a year at least. By the time a 21 year old is 42 we will be a wholy owned subsidiary of CHina.

We do that by spurring on growth. Thats the only way we save this republic.

OWS needs to realize they are 49.5% the tea party is the other 49.5%, until they work together the 1% is safe as a bug in a rug, and we get sold down the red river.

Because Stve Jobs wasnt an evil 1% who made more than Exxon and with a 20 times higher margin. They dont make cheap ass electronics in cheap labor countries and sell them to rich white anti establishment liberals.

They dont release a product with only half the technology just so they can add the technology a year later and sell a whole new product.

No apple is a great company who exclusively marketed rich white liberals. Touch screen phones and MP3 players arent apple inventions, he just made them overpriced and exclusive. Something the rich white libs cant refuse.
