If the North had honored the spirit of the union of sovereign states at the time, then it follows that there no longer existed "Federal" installations on South Carolina ground. South Carolina gave due and proper notice that they were withdrawing from the Union, therefore they no longer owed any fealty to the flag. It had become a foreign flag of an occupying power. Firm

At first, it is funny to even talk about the Constitution in these cases. It is well documented Anwar al-Awlaki was a double agent working for the CIA. To believe what the government news reports is rather naive. One can only speculate what really happened. Maybe they just decided him to retire and he was moved to Bahamas under new identity and with hefty CIA pension. The other option is CIA decided to violate its contracts in this case. It could possibly be a new round to destroy 9/11 evidence. Fake OBL killing belonging to the same category. The truth movements are gaining ground.

The positive implications of this are immense. Alwaki was very influential in his recruiting videos to America in particular and the west in general. I dont think even those who are dubious of the legalities of his death, will mourn his demise.
