As far as ownership, if what you state is true, then they had no legal right to paint over the rock to begin with. Since a law had been passed to rename such things, they should have reported the offensive name to the authorities, no?

Tazzy, when I first moved here to Myrtle Beach I took a ride way out into the country. Cotton fields, doublewides, singlewides you know, where the Democrats live and I saw two "KKK" signs, one on a tree the other on an abandoned trailer house.
Now, had I a can of spray paint in the trunk and got out to spray those signs over and all of a sudden Tommy Lee, Bobby Ray and Bubba pulled up and asked me what the hell I was doing I'd have been fucked!
When I came to I'd have heard fuckin' banjo music.
Sometimes it's better to keep driving. I figured the cops drove by those signs all the time and didn't do anything.

I find his comment a bit... bigoted.

Single and Doublewides are all that he mentioned as identifiers.

Half of the retirees live in those style of homes... and some of those sell for over 200k.

no matter where we travel to in this nation there are still reminders of the time when slavery was common and was based solely on the color of ones skin. for example the word picadilly comes from the name for the negro kids with their hair in bobs called picaninnys. in fact the last legislation to be done on desegregation was in the nations pools in 1972 before that the pools could exclude them on race. at some point as a nation we have to just get past it ang move on to the future. now homosexuals can be open about it in the military and not be put out. so just cant we all just move on
