There does seem to be a fair number of people who are involved in kink for what more-or-less amount to gloomy and morbid reasons, but that couldn't be further from what draws me. Steve Vai's song, "Alive In An Ultra World" pretty much encapsulates my entire motive for doing BDSM (not to mention speeding on my motorcycle and working out ferociously). I try to only play with people who have the same mentality. If you continue to experiment with kink and find that you never have a moment when you feel you must be drinking straight from the fountain of life, maybe it's not for you. Why would anyone with a choice in the matter spend a moment doing anything that made him feel otherwise?
