Status: offline 		I love it, I got my 3G for $50.   When I'm ready to upgrade, this ensures the 4G's or other one step down phones will be dirt cheap.

Status: offline 		the 3GS now is free in the US with 1 year blan.
4 now is 99 $ with 2 years blan (i think)
4S will be about 199 $ with 2 years blan.

when the 4S come to Syria it will be about 1500 $ with no blan at all....just like the (500$ for Iphone4 now)..

Status: offline 		I just got the 3Gs for $50, I've had it for 3 days now and I'm figuring I may have been able to get it free if I had waited just 3 freakin days.  I wasn't due an upgrade for over another year though, I called and implied I might go to T Mobile with their $50 smart phone deal. They gave it to me for the *every 2 year upgrade* deal. There are a couple of features I need for business but now I can't wait to upgrade again to that fancy camera.

I'm with AT&T also. I had to do some talkin to get it. I knew T Mobile had a deal so when I called I told the sales associate that I had to have one for my business and why I needed it.  I then implied I would have to change carriers if I couldn't get them to do it for the $50 upgrade deal. She asked me to hold and went to her supervisor or pretended to and she told me they would give me the deal. I have been with AT&T for 11 years sort of. Actually I had Cingular witch merged with AT&T.


Edited to add if you only have 3 months left they will usually let you have the upgrade early without too much trouble.

yeah I had them since it was Cingular too and they wouldnt work with me which really got to me because my phone is a POS! I have had to replace the track ball countless times, it freezes every few minutes and I just can't use it right. They said they wouldn't do an early upgrade and that the phone would be like $300 if I wanted it now.

Call them again and if it doesn't work then call back and yuou will get a different associate. Tell them your sick of your crappy defective phone and you're going to change companies if their going to treat you like that ect ect ......that should work for you.
