How many businesses did Mr. Bush run and have fail under his leadership, before taking office?

How many times does someone need to say this thread isnt about Bush?

When the cons admit their hypocrisy, I'll quit shoving it down their throats.

So where was the outrage over Haliburton/KBR defrauding the US government of at least 533 million in just the LOGCAP contract?

Pathetic. Look maybe its because I'm a lit further left than you but you'll never get a decent president if you gloss over potential misconduct like this. Lefties can have far more influence over their own party but they waste that shot trying to change the GOP for god knows what reason and you know what, Obama is a pretty shit president, and ill be the first to say he's nowhere as shit as anyone the GOP is running but he's still shit and no petty deflection tactics will change that.

I'm out of here. Again. Enjoy your red vs blue laser tag children.

How can I possibly not sound condescending?

Allegations Obama made a shady business deal.
LOL CHENEY SHOT SOMEONE

Obama's bombing the fuck out of Libya
LOL BUSH BOMBED MORE PEOPLE

Obama kept tax cuts for the rich
LOL ITS REALLY BUSH'S FAULT

Fuck that. Look if anyone thinks Obama is doing an amazing, excellent job and they are totally satisfied with his decisions as President then yeah go ahead and deflect every criticism into LOLTHEGOP but otherwise you're just sticking your head in the sand and you'll get what you deserve - a President who acts like the people who voted for him need to suck it up and fall in line with whatever he's doing.

Now here's where I sound condescending - maybe if I put it in a GOP example you'll understand what I mean. The GOP is so fucking anti-Obama that they've created a situation where Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry were both, at times, considered viable candidates. For the Presidency of the United fucking States. Because you have people like whoever that guy is on this board who just chants "Anyone but Obama" and they're going to get a Bachmann or a Perry and they're going to fucking deserve it because they can't be bothered seeing their candidate for who they are, they just need to base their "identity" on being against the other guy.

I don't think Obama's as bad as Bachmann or Perry but I don't think he's fucking amazing either and I'd just appreciate if the Democrats would use half as much energy on fixing their own shit as they do on being anti Republican. Cheney's gone. Obama's not. People need to focus on what matters not on what soothes their fucking ego.

Well, the record shows that President Obama saved General Motors from collapse.

Without any help from you losers. Predator capitalist Mitt Romney said he would have let GM fail.

bush, ruined every business he was involved with.Yet you cons touted his "executive experience" as a plus.

He was so scary talented at business that he ruined America`s economy.

So much for "business experience" making for a good president......Lol...

And the guy you cons wanted over Obama, didn`t know how many houses he owned.McCain often said he didn`t know much about business and bragged about it.Actually bragged about his ignorance.

And he was the guy you cons wanted in the WH........???

I think what most normal folks want,is not someone who`s an expert in everything as president, so much as they want someone who`s acting in good faith.

Note:this is meant for the phony war hero, not for imperatrixx.

Wasn't it sanity himself who pointed out this is everyone's thread...why do cons try to limit the conversation at every turn?
And yes sanity I have heard of solyndra.....have you ever heard of,or have even a passing knowledge of what intellectual honesty is ?

Seems like the shoe is on the other foot there Sanity, like looking in the mirror isn't it?

I don't see where Obama was involved, I'm sure if he had been he'd have had the good sense to shred all the documentation like Cheney did with his energy commission meeting just before they sucked several hundred billion dollars out of California in a phony crisis scam, then used it as an excuse to gut environmental laws.

But if Vulture Capitalists are skulking around the White House, there is cause for concern, nothing good can possibly come from that.

FR -

I wonder if there are any on the left who can reasonably discuss such scandals directly, and on topic

I thought this thread was about obama's business experience not your rabid hatred of all that is not you.
Please try to stay on topic.
btw: Was the irony in your title intentional or just a freudian slip?

Bush isnt president ken, thats another thread.

This thread is about how Obama promised change but is instead delivering the worst kind of crony capitalism

Your statement is rather unclear...are you saying that crony capitalism is bad or that the way that obama practices it is bad?

So far you have yet to post anything that is related to your own op.
Please try to stay on topic.
If you wish to discuss your hatred of all things not you please start a thread on it.

This is a thread about the bussiness acumen of our current president. He does not exist in a vaccum. If we are only allowed to compare him to himself then he is by definition exellent. If we can compare him to others who have held the same position then we have a bassis for comparison.
Is it your considered opinion that obama is an exellent president? If not then who are you comparing him to if not previous presidents of the u.s.?

Sanity, they're one-trick ponies. All they do is attack and not debate. Say the name "Bush" and they go into the St. Vida's dance! That's all they have, well that and rearranging the deck chairs for Nov of 2012.
( I think even Obama is starting to realize that he's a one-term president.)
