That may well seal the deal. Its going to make fundraising much more difficult for the others.

Yup, an imbecilic lout supports an ignorant loser, thats gonna be some money to pour down the shithole.

DarkSteven -> RE: Chris Christie about to endorse Romney (10/11/2011 6:37:58 PM)

Romney's been around since the last election cycle, in other words forever.  He has staying power, while Perry and Cain just seems like flavor of the month.  And there's nobody else in the GOP field that I think stands a chance.

Christie's endorsement may indeed carry some fundraising ability.  Shame it takes so much money to get elected.

TheHeretic -> RE: Chris Christie about to endorse Romney (10/11/2011 7:04:23 PM)

Romney... He just hasn't inspired me yet. He couldn't do it four years ago, either. That's my own, subjectively reached, opinion. I just don't dig the vibes, Man. We are 13 months from the election. Hillary Clinton was still considered a lock for the Dem nomination at this point 4 years ago. I'm not going to stress about it just yet. Hell, I might even change my mind about him.

He fits beautifully into the class warfare template, for the Dems, and downgrades the Obamacare issue considerably. I bet we'll find out he's a closet racist, too, or at the very least, knows some. [8|]

If President Obama screws up badly enough, he could lose to Palin (and she's not even running!), but Obama will have all the advantages of incumbency, and even if the media doesn't give him the full blown tonguebath he got last time, they'll despise the Republicans enough that it won't matter. The man who captured America's hearts with hope and change, will now be trying to keep his job with fear and loathing.

The Republicans need an articulate visionary, who can inspire. I think I'm going to watch Herman Cain a bit more closely. If he gets up to speed a little on foreign affairs, I might let the lack of political experience slide.

HannahLynHeather -> RE: Chris Christie about to endorse Romney (10/11/2011 7:55:27 PM)

fuck man, you're tiresome with your class warfare shit. ever since the fucking ows shit began you slide that fucking little meme into damn near every fucking post.

get a new schtick, that one's worn the fuck out. you just throw it in any old place even when it doesn't make the slightest bit of fucking sense.

That's where most of America pulls it's votes from.

It seems a might odd that we'd, as Americans vote our gut and or whether or not someone can say the right things in time.

In some ways I'm kinda hoping Dr.Paul doesn't win because that means we won't change anything we're doing which will bring this country to it's knees and a live real revolution will happen.. Then maybe those of you who are asleep at the wheel will wake up before you lose every last freedom and way of life that we could even call ourselves Americans and do something.

A Socialist we will go A socialist we will go! Hi ho the merry oh the socialist we will go.

And Bill Clinton wasn't given a rats chance back in October of 1991.

I am not sure Romney is a lock by any stretch. Marco Rubio still looms large and John Thune may jump in. And there are a number of Republican Governors ho may came in on their dark horse.

He is going to be interesting...

I could see a Cain/Haley, Cain /Martinez or Cain/Brewer as very formidable

I'll lay 20 on it now that his numbers drop below Dr.Paul's before SC. [:D]

He got filleted tonight on Bloomberg by the other candidates. He's a one trick pony and it aint nothing but spinning in circles, at that.

Oh I'm still campaigning for him like there's no tomorrow.. well because in many ways there isn't one other than what I laid out.

I'm afraid though, your vote of confidence, doesn't mean a whole lot, to me.

Rubio strikes me as jockeying for the VP nod.  Florida is a vital swing state, and it's way past time the GOP acknowledge Hispanics.

Thune?  SD is a GOP lock, and has few votes.

Lucylastic -> RE: Chris Christie about to endorse Romney (10/11/2011 8:49:49 PM)

It'll never happen. I won't be taken alive. :)

TheHeretic -> RE: Chris Christie about to endorse Romney (10/11/2011 9:01:11 PM)

Nice to see you are fucking still around, Hannah. Sorry though. Recent events have certainly brought it to the foreground, but I've been saying Obama would run on class warfare since well before the first hippie clogged up the first toilet near the park.

Rubio has already made it very clear he will not run for Vice President

Nope... he hasn't.

He'll be a very strong candidate if he jumps in Luce

TheHeretic -> RE: Chris Christie about to endorse Romney (10/11/2011 9:12:51 PM)

Rubio would be an obvious choice for veep, if he wants it, but I believe him when he says he isn't interested in running for President.

He's sharp guy, and still very young.

Lucylastic -> RE: Chris Christie about to endorse Romney (10/11/2011 9:15:50 PM)

Im pretty sure hes gonna be around for a while
