I don't know, Popeye. If this is just a band of rampaging crazies (Westboro Baptist with guns), as presented in what I'm seeing, then it seems like a fine bit of military assistance. We already have a shitload of obsolete, unarmed drones over that way, we might as well get the use out of them.

I know that we disagree about the right role for the US to play in foreign entanglements, but if we can help these countries unfuck themselves a little bit, we might get a decent bang for the buck.

Well to hear you talk ./.... it won't be Obama's Vietnam
Or could it be that dullards spend too many hours digging through endless web searches for smoking guns when the answer to why their concerns are purely self manufactured and with out merit.

Let's see...
Remembering that the previous president has a BIGGER 'advisors' situation that had westerners briefly wondering if Putin would polish up the nukes - 20 seconds

*Searching the PROPER independent NEW AGENCY link in google. 20 seconds

*Downloading photo and bring the link over. 60 seconds

*Publishing the mesage in this thread. 1 minute 30 seconds

* Sitting in video chat with cute union nurse in liberty plaza laughing about how much fun it is to snap the towel on neo-cons ....ALL NIGHT MAYBE

Thanks for the easy slam-dunk

See referring to me as a 'leftist' by an ignorant bigoted individual is like calling some people gay. So I'll answer the question with a question. What's it like to give blowjobs?

Oh, and by the way... it was REALLY HILARIOUS making your hero and proposed candidate reverse his bullshit story from "I think they are dangerous" to just a little while later when he realized WE ARE ... TO HIM ...

".I don’t worry about the top one percent. I don’t stay up nights worrying about ‘gee we need to help them.’ I don’t worry about that. They’re doing just fine by themselves. I worry about the 99 percent in America. I want America, once again, to be the best place in the world to be middle-class. I want to have a strong and vibrant and prosperous middle-class. And so I look at what’s happening on Wall Street and my own view is, boy I understand how those people feel…The people in this country are upset."

I don't know what they call that in Hooterville buddy ... but up here they're called PUSSIES

You and the rest of the gang certainly did in Iraq....

But this is a good call for Obama. Cheers!!

The only good thing about Obama is that he has brought the left on board with the war on terror.

O59 and the crew have gone from demanding civilian trials for terrorists to simply making a Death List, and killing the fuckers, along with at times Women and Children. It happens, it sucks, its the fault of the terrorists.

<really?? its ok to kill them but not to detain them?>

Except for the verbose retards who deny it is even occuring....

Gasps..............shock and horror, America have got advisers in other countries......who knew ?

The US currently has 1.5 million active military personnel serving in 135 countries around the world. The US has helped, assisted, advised and flat out invaded dozens of countries well over 100 times in over a century.

We were in Libya twice before but as most often, we basically left those countries but a few thousand stay behind for good measure.

This is new only because it is...the next one.

You cons never would have gotten the American people to go along with invading and occupying an entire country, needlessly getting 4000 of our GI`s killed, without lying, fraud and deceit.

Not in a million years.

Mike, don't you need to be asking Uganda that question?

You have a son. What if he joined the Army and got sent to Uganda and one day you're returning home from work and see three men in uniform and a minister standing in your front yard?
Ron Paul is right, we need to start minding our own business!
The last set of "troubles" they had in Ireland that lasted about 30 years they were raping, killing, bombing, torturing, cutting off women's hair, firebombing pubs, ambushing soldiers and we didn't send any military "advisers" there did we?

Two problems with your statements: One we do not live in a bubble, what happens in the rest of the world greatly impacts our country and others. There are times when we need to help others, but then this is the problem with people today, just mind your own business don't get involved. Everybody can fend for themselves including innocent women and children.

Two: Ireland was not a third world country and they had another country that was in theory supposed to be "advising" them.

It's fucking Uganda, Popeye. Idi Amin's old stomping grounds. We are hardly meddling in the affairs of our old friends. It's a place that mostly knows poverty and brutality like we cannot imagine.

Do we have any national interest at all here, besides maybe trying to maintain some of the goodwill Bush built in Africa, with his AIDS funding? Nope. I know that is a dealbreaker for you, but I'm ok with some global charity work.

We aren't jumping into somebody else's civil war, or seeking to overthrow a government. If we can remove Kony from the battlefield (don't you love the euphemisms from our Nobel Peace Prize winner?), there is some chance at making that little corner of the globe a better place. If we are deploying to help send him off to hell, and get back out again, I'm good. If the mission is going to morph into anything other than that, I'll reserve the right to change my mind. Creating an opportunity for them to unfuck themselves a bit is one thing, trying to do it for them is something else entirely.

Isn't this how Vietnam started?

Not really, no. I don't think even Coulter's tried to argue that the Kenyan started the American intervention in Vietnam.
