then they should have challenged the school administration in a responsible and mature fashion.
They did. They chose to sell the shirts while wearing their normal uniforms, and have a couple of parents wear the shirts to show them off. Non-confrontational, makes the point without directly challenging the administrations authority, and still sells the shirts to raise money. What exactly was irresponsible or immature about that?

No, they took a passive aggressive approach.

I, personally, would have thought more of their 'fighting breast cancer' if they had taken a stand on their original suggestion. But that's just me. I tend to be pretty hard core when it comes to things like that...

lol while there is "ALWAYS" a legal argument for any side of a dispute but the problem here to me is these are not individuals wanting to wear the shirts and being told no,  these are representatives of the school (i.e., cheerleaders) who want to utilize a school function (i.e., football game), to raise money for a cause as the representative team of the school (i.e. cheerleaders).  They more than likely had to get permission to do this initially, which stands to reason that the HOST of the function (i.e., the school) has a right to determine what they will allow their representatives to utilize in raising money.    It's school sanctioned function AND more importantly, a school sanctioned fundraising by a school team, not individuals trying to wear t-shirts and the school won't let them.

I know people don't want to consider that but in the end, i can pretty much guarantee you that there is paperwork indicating that the school has final say in any and all fundraising done on behalf of their student representatives and teams.

When you are cheerleading or doing any sport even if its after hours, you are considered still in school - until such time its over and your duties as a representative of the school are over.  It's why if something happens to a student while in the course of being a representative of the school, the school is liable usually under the arguments of it was negligent yadda yadda.

As i said, there is always someone who wants to give a civil lesson, but there really isn't one when its simply a school deciding that it's representatives cannot represent the school in a certain way.  That seems to be what happened here.  I am sure if the girls were not cheerleading or even raising money, the school wouldn't have a say in them wearing same - if there was no dresscode for students at the games.

No, it's really not a new twist at all.
I hadn't heard that I was Zephy/Fire before, so it is a new twist. I've heard the "Hannah et al are really just Heather" theory, the "Heather is Hannah's imagination" theory, I've heard the "all four are Arpig" theory, the "They are both just Domiguy" theory, and even once that we are really all NS. But never the Zephy/Fire angle. It's creative alright. We'll have to start a whole new category in the pool.

Or did we make Fire up? Maybe Zephy actually just left the site and we made up the whole Fire character. That's an even better theory.

Edit: Sorry, I forgot LadyPact, we were accused of being her once as well. Maybe you should start a poll.

Given that she and I chatted when I was here as Zeph I think it's the other way around. Sorry Heather, you don't exist.

No, I didn't forget anything, you simply misread things, perhaps in your zeal to find a nonexistant prop for your theory. You see, saying Hanners is me, and saying I am Fire, really is saying that Hanners is Fire, so you clearly need to get your theories worked out, you can't both be right, is she me, or is she Fire? Or are both of them me?

I believe what was finally decided was a compromise.  And i think it seems to have worked.  The school doesn't have students representing them wearing the shirts and the cheerleaders still get to make money for breast cancer.

I guess i am getting soft in my old age, i don't get what point the cheerleaders had to make with the school admin.   I mean their goal was to raise money yes, not make a point with school administration that they should be able to wear something of which the school doesn't approve.  As i wondered when they bought the shirts, seems the breast cancer fundraising was a tool, not the goal.

I can relate to that, and in that context I agree with you, they should have at least put up a bit of a fight first.

That would be ME you fucking idiot

Oh FFS.....I THOUGHT Heather was saying that she heard she was accused of being zephyr and fire separately, I misread the slash mark as an "&", and wondered why she was bringing zephyr into the mix, too.

So while we're on the subject, zephyr/fire, why DID you kill zephyr, she actually was pretty cool.

i know -- why not start another thread to argue this out, i am sure P&RS needs another new soap opera thread -- you can call it "the ever changing faces of "pick a name".   Instead of a thread that is in the middle of a discussion.

Just a thought lol.

I'm not interested in the 'Fire' theory. It's rubbish.

Beyond that:

What can I say? When I read your posts, I just see an image of a quite clever, slightly plain, very quiet and introverted woman in her early twenties, who has sub and lesbian leanings. When I see Hannah's posts . . . I see exactly the same thing. The more she uses the word 'fucking', the more I see it. She's 'too bad to be true'.

There we are. I don't have to prove my theory to you; you don't have to prove yourself to me. This is the Internet and postmodernity holds sway. We can all be what we want to be.

Why did you kill off Domiguy? He was a royal pain, but he was funny.

Oh I see, so you're wrong but not a word about that huh.

I "killed" that nic because zephyr is a name my ex Master gave me and it doesn't suit me any more. Oh and I haven't changed, just the nic.

Oh gosh, mea maxima culpa, when scanning I mistook a slash mark for an ampersand. Is that what you wanted?
