I am referring to any of the make your lashes grow things people are using nowadays. lol.

I know its silly as we use mascara and eyeshadow near our eyes etc, but it just seems like you are putting a medication on your eyes when there may not be anything wrong with your eyes.

Latisee is like eyelash Rogaine...and I dnt use Rogaine because I don't want to be bonded to a product forever. How the stuff can change your eye color is just freaky, and enough to make me stay away!

since i have brown eyes already, i would be fine with that. lol

I always had long long lashes,, but was so concerned about clumping mascara... used a large safty pin every day to seperate each one... they would always brush up against my sunglasses and bother me.. and touch my eye brows..!

Last summer, they fell out.. I thought it was menopause, aging.. i suddenly understood the comercials talking about treatments, etc..and I tried a lot of the new Volumizing mascaras. Hated them all..!

They have grown back.. whew! and now I appreciate them much more..and have found only one mascara that works well without clumping. It's Volume Exact from cover girl. I buy them 3-4 at a time.. in case they stop making them.

Mascara is a simple thing.. when it works, it works well!

i rarely wear makeup and when i do i tend to like it quite light in feel. my eyes are very sensitive so i am careful what i use. here in the uk companies were pulled up for claims in adverts while showing models wearing false lashes. i'm quite lucky in that my lashes are longish, thick and black. although i don't think they are quite as intence as they used to be. that's age related i guess.

however, i like number 7 or a non brand i have just tried from a really cheap shop. my lashes tend to curl upwards more if i put more on the tips too. the number 7 had some sort of fibers in it that were supposed to lengthen lashes but that only worked when the mascaca was really new. due to not using them very often i'm loth to pay silly prices for claims that really arn't that great in reality.

as for clumping. this should never happen with any new mascara if applied correctly. apply sparingly but in a couple of layers when each one is dry. clumping usually happens when the brush is over loaded or the mascara itself is becoming too thick. great care should be taken with vinyl based water proof mascaras as these can pull out lashes when clumping occurs.

As for me .. of course I don't wear makeup. At 55, I look as young and fresh as I did at 28. Natural, dewy, taut.

Has anyone found my glasses? I swear I put them on my desk somewhere.

My lashes are super long as it is, and rather thick, too, so fortunately I don't have to think about volumizing. I do wear just basic mascara, though - Aveda seems to be the only brand that doesn't cause an allergic reaction so I use them for all my make up.
