Grab up a three fingered shot and settle the fuck down.......you certainly must have been working hard lately.

Imagine cogency ..... it's easy if you try.......[:D]

The Ironic thing Firm is that Imagine, and I don't know if Herman was aware when he changed it to the safer topical mode of fast food... but that was John Lennon's Communist manifesto

But here's what I really want to know from you... Do you think they did a hit tonight on Herman? I got the impression that all the back enders were trying to take Herman out quite a few times. Somebody must've thrown their names in the vice presidential punch bowl.
  Curious about what you thought.

lol... Kinda like Clinton playing the sax on The Arsenio Hall Show.
But you know what? I liked that Clinton did that... and so did many others.

I saw him play with cooler accompaniment in 93.

But what I think that footage may be is CEO stuff her did maybe... when he was CEO of Godfather's he was known for doing fun stuff at company parties. maybe not as fun as my old CEO Frank Ingari playing with Muddy Waters and Peter tosh at our famous Shiva Christmas Parties @ the Roxy in Boston, but that kind of theme.
I do think it was funny seeing that side of the man since everything we hear now is to either elevate or shoot the guy to hell.

I don't think they "did a hit" on him.  I think they were challenging him - as they should.  I also think he handled the challenges fair to well, but is going to have to explain his 9-9-9 plan in more detail, or package it better.

But, come on ... only two candidates have anything even approaching a plan: Cain and Romney.  Perry promised one "next week".  No other candidate has had the ... balls? ... to do anything more than mouth platitudes (maybe Newt excepted).

I think Perry came to do a hit piece on Romney, though, and just made himself look like a desperate ass.

The Las Vegas Republican debate tonight:

I've got a basic feeling for who I'd support and wouldn't support now:

Acceptable:

Cain
Newt
Romney
Paul

Unacceptable:

Everyone else.  Especially Perry.

Match ups (P and VP):

Dream Team:  Cain and Newt.

Likely: Romney and Cain.

ABO: anybody but o'dingdong. My cat over o'dumbo in a landslide. If O'doofus believes in the "occupy" crowd so much he needs to live with them. Bring michelle along so she can lecture them all on hygiene and the evils of fast food while stuffing her pie hole with friend chicken. Geezus, people. What were you thinking when you voted for this zero? With Biden, it's negative zero.

As long as Perry and Bachman are out, I'm cool with it.

Fuckin nutbags

And you don't think Cain is a nutbag?

One day after saying he wasn't serious about his repeated calls to build a lethal, electrified fence across the Mexican border, presidential hopeful Herman Cain backpedaled and said he was serious about that plan along.

No I don't. He's a corporate turnaround specialist which actually might just be what we need.
You do realize that electric fence comment was a joke.
The Dem in NC who was goofing about suspending the next election was a joke too.
People tell jokes. Sometimes, they get the crowd laughing and a laughing crowd will come to your side quickly. Frequently, though, they fall on their face. That's why they're politicians and not standup commedians.

Bullshit!

Look at the videos and tell me he was making a joke.

Was he smiling or laughing while the crowd cheered?

Then after he took heat for his unbelievably stupid idea he backpedaled on Meet the Press and tried to claim it was a joke.

Then in the third video in Arizona he contradicted himself yet again by saying it was a joke then implying he thought it was a good idea.

Herman Cain's Electric Fence 'Joke'

Herman Cain's electrified border fence 'joke': Bad taste?

Cain: I Was Just Joking About My Serious Electric Border Fence Plan

FirmhandKY -> RE: Cain 43%, Obama 41% (10/19/2011 9:43:15 AM)

Oh, come on.  I've watched all three before.

The first time, he was into a bit of hyperbole for comedic effort.  "With signs on it! This will kill you!  In English and Spanish!" and such ... yes, that was a joke, but about a serious issue: increasing border security is required.

When he later clarified, it was that yes, he was joking in the details, but not on the overall fact that we need a "fence" or better border.

Finally, seriously ... a fence as part of border security is an important issue.

Like I've said many times: lefties don't have a sense of humor, unless they are making fun of conservatives.

Most "normal" people get the differences in his statements and intent.  It's only the people who are looking to manufacture anything negative about him who are claiming "gotcha".

(Hmmm, which Alinsky rule is this?)

Hmmm, which Alinsky rule is this?

The same rule that denies the gravity of the OWS, that harangues that corporations are good for this country, that Iraq had WMD, that teabaggers/republicans have some truck with fiscal responsibility, that they are effective, that drill baby drill will solve the energy crisis, that the environment needs no concern.........

It's all in the book.

Hiya, philo!

The words Cain said are not in dispute.  His meaning, state of mind and ability to effectively govern are.

My Alinsky comment was to point out that all the "usual suspects" are finding "dark and dangerous" things about any of the conservatives.

Well, that's no surprise to anyone, is it?

I understand that the republicans have no vigorous social agenda, but look.....

I don't seen any on the right sniffing up any democrats assholes to catch them in some sort of Attaboy!!!!!!!.....

Left is suspect of right and the converse is also true....and by god, someones going to go looking for these things to see who stands up to the garish light of day, and who built their castles on a bridge to nowhere that they were for before they were against.

This isn't a one-way street anyone is walking.
