ORIGINAL: Delilya Anyone want to wake and bake? I'm in. I don't believe I have ever fallen back on the "you are too young to understand line". I might be wrong though, maybe I am getting senile. I have very intelligent sophisticated kids, and I respect their opinions, so I believe there are wonderfully intelligent young people with lots of experiences and common sense and I also believe there are ignorant, close minded older people who have never bothered to learn anything and have nothing to add to any conversation. Isn't it safe to say, though, that the longer one lives, the more experiences and learning you at least have the opportunity to absorb? Of course that is going to change your beliefs, opinions and perceptions. Experience has some value, doesn't it? On the other hand, youthful idealism and energy has a value too. I feel for young people, I think they are growing up in very hard times, and in many cases have had to grow up fast. They have things of value to say and experiences to share, also. It is too bad that there is this us vs. them mentality developing, and not just on CM.
