I really wish I hadn't just moved, I would have space for you since I live in baltimore also. The shelters here are not bad, especially the women's shelters.

Littlewonder posted some crucial advice, seriously - get to work.

I'm not a woman, but I've been through some bad financial issues, and I will say, get yourself to a welfare office NOW...Well, Monday morning. I ended up in a rough spot, and got a food card right away. I started to apply for housing, but things changed and got a little strange.
I want to add I was living IN Chicago, and when I ended up in the suburbs of the city, I had MUCH better luck dealing with getting financial aid. I don't know about your area but you might also get faster results if you can get to a more..how do I say this? affluant area that has less people receiving aid.
And now that I had help to not worry about food, I ended up getting an OK job that got me out of the welfare situation.
Good luck to you

I live in Bmore and I can tell you there are a TON of resources for indigent people and many for women. Using bdsm just to get off the streets is wrong is so many ways! I hope you at least are honest when people message you so they aren't duped into taking you in.

Here are some resources. Use them.

http://dhr.maryland.gov/transit/pdf/homelist.pdf
http://www.womenshousing.org/

If you google you'll find tons more plus almost every single church here will help you in some way. You just have to swallow your pride and ask them for help. Being a little humble and using what's available to you will get you further than asking for help here.

You can always hit up the Helping Out Mission.

As a formerly homeless friend of mine once said, "It's a top shelf place. They charge $5 a day to stay. Keeps the riff-raff out."

Seriously, Baltimore has gads of help, especially with winter coming. Take it.

I'm always confused by people who say they have "no resources" using the internet. Are you at a library? I guess you did manage to elude the rapists and drug dealers on your way to the library.

How old are you, Rissykinz? Have you ever been independent? Have you ever held a job? Why did you go to Maryland when you were kicked out? Why couldn't you stay in North Carolina? Why didn't you have a job in NC? Wouldn't North Carolina have shelters? Job opportunities? Friends? Something doesn't add up here.

She's 18, so she's most likely never been independent or had a job.
