U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor, the Republican majority leader in the U.S. House, canceled his scheduled speech at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business because if was going to be open to the first 300 people who showed up. Given that hundreds of Occupy Philadelphia protesters were planning to march from City Hall to the campus to protest the speech, that could have been lively audience.

They cant debate the issues, so they de-plane, and de-rail.

Meh. They did the same thing on the budget, and on financial soundness, ran away. This is about as surprising as finding out Winnie took a couple drinks you didn't know about.

The derail was accomplished with the venom displayed in the thread headline and compounded with the first nonsensical contributing post

It doesnt help that the article the thread is based on is half baked. Did a third grader write it?

We can't help but feel a strong current of irony running through all this, since Cantor's Congressional office put out a curious YouTube video this week that was all about him promoting success and leadership. What was it Woody Allen said about success? Oh right: "Eighty percent of success is just showing up."

Cantor cancels out on success.

I like the headline.

Cantor is a little pussy.

Didn`t he walk out of budget negotiations, like a pussy?

Didn`t he threaten FEMA funding, by requiring the funds comes out of other social program funding?

Didn`t he lead us into the credit down-grade, with J-Boner?

Now he can`t deal with the results,in a free society,a democracy, in a public forum?

PUSSY!!!!!

Did Pelosi cancel her town-hall, when creeps brought in nazi posters?

Nancy has more balls than Eric, is seems.

You mean the two minor typographical errors: s/if/it/ and s//a/ ?

Wow.... Weak sauce, indeed. I see worse in major newspapers..

I have to agree with you, it was a very poorly written article with very poor grammar.

But I also have to agree with the intent of the article that Cantor is a whiny little bitch.

This is further proof that Liberals hate freedom of speech. Eric Cantor canceled his speech because liberals are exercising their first amendment rights.

Cantor was invited to address the students, faculty, and guests of the university. Unfortunately...

The Office of the Majority Leader was informed last night by Capitol Police that the University of Pennsylvania was unable to ensure that the attendance policy previously agreed to could be met.

If you're not going to get to speak to the people you were invited to talk to, why bother? If the Occupy Movement wants to protest Eric Cantor, they know where his office is. This is just a case of pissing in somebody else's Wheaties.

K.

So how is this any worse than the astroturf movement disrupting townhall meetings?
If that's acceptable coming from the teabaggers, I don't see why the OWS lot shouldn't be entitled to act like tits in a similar fashion.

Seriously? That's your defense of Eric Cantor? The author of the article writes like a 3rd grader?
