If the Reps didn't have bipartisan support from the Dems who also oppose this TAX bill then it would have sailed through the Senate by now

You're painfully ignorant of Senate rules, aren't you.

painfully ignorant of lots of things and a humungous liar about others is a better descriptive.

Those in pain are they who are forced to resort to ad hominems because their arguments are devoid of substance.

Senate rules have zero to do with this, enough Ds have sided with the Rs that the big O doesn't have the votes

In this scenario the hyperpartisan would be the president because he is going against the Senate majority

2 dems against and one independent. 95% of dems voted for, 0% of republicans....

the senate rules he talks about requires 60% to break a filibuster, an impossible task in the senate if you would care to pencil it out. There are 57 democrats.

If you ignore the fact the "defeats handed to Obama" in the Senate were in reality cloture votes that failed to achieve the 60-vote requirement for passage, which cannot be achieved even if every Democrat on the floor voted in favor of ending debate, then you might have a point. Unfortunately, those "defeats" were cloture votes. Two democrats broke ranks and only two, and even if those two had voted in favor of ending debate, the measure still would not have passed. The only realistic "defeat" in this case is ancillary, given the Republicans can now filibuster these bills while they remain on the floor. The truth is the Democrats are behind Obama on this, they are the Senate majority, and the caucuses' voting record shows it.

Argumentum ad hominem is only fallacious when comments against the person are irrelevant to the debate. You are painfully ignorant of Senate rules and the history of the jobs bill to date, and that is absolutely relevant to the topic at hand.

You need to read some hard news.

but here it is --- its sort of common knowledge.....

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/21/us/politics/new-senate-battle-over-obamas-jobs-bill-now-piecemeal.html?_r=1

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2011/10/obama-jobs-bill-is-moment-of-truth-for-senate/1

I await your admission of derail and prevarications, not having any fact to debate with.

Try again.

Still nope, you're wrong.

Man, isn't Google cool?

Huh, I guess the GOP really did filibuster it.

The hypocrisy of conservatives continually amazes me, especially your hypocrisy Sanity.

How many times did you state on here about how the world was better without Saddam and praise Bush for "liberating" Iraq?

Go back to the 189 Americans killed on Pan Am 103 and then tell their families that Obama is a "warlord" for taking out the piece of shit that murdered them.

Go to the families of those killed on 9/11 and tell them that Obama is a "warlord" for doing exactly what Bush promised but failed miserably in doing.

Obama spent the first three years cozying up to Goldman Sachs, GE, and other megabanks and megacorps. Taking fantastic vacations, having partys with the ultra rich and the super famous...

Now its time to pretend he is here for the little people, because he wants another four years.

What a guy!

Do they have schools in Idaho and have you ever attended one?

You seem to have a real problem with the plural of words, judging from yesterday's thread title and today's use of "partys".

So, you either ignore or don't care that Obama couldn't even get the Democratic majority Senate to put country before party yet he accuses Republicans of doing exactly that then strongly implies he'll circumvent Congress if necessary and act unilaterally to do what he wants? This would not be the first time the usurper has circumvented Congress. Can you say DICTATOR?

Can you say GOP assholes who are hellbent on having a Republican in the White House at the expense of what is best for the people they are supposed to be working for?

I call him a "warlord" because leftists who once pretended to be anti war, who boasted about Obamas being gifted the peace prize for no reason, now claim to be proud that their dear leader is a bloodthirsty killer... who takes out hated dictators with nothing but his bare hands and his teeth

What limits apply on executive orders? Is there a way he could end free trade deals and somehow force businesses to bring the outsourced jobs back to the US?
