Yeah, right wing bullshit aside I'd bet dollars to donuts the real gripe is with the time and consideration that goes into the food preparation, coupled with food demands from the crowd and probably relative thanklessness. I'd know I'd be pissed if I were a chef who donated my time and labor to a movement protesting greed and extravagance, only to be met with fairly bourgeois and upscale menu requests and little thanks. I wouldn't have a problem cooking vegan and vegetarian, or feeding disadvantaged folks as long as they helped out with the occupation, just keep the demands simple and the expectations reasonable. It's a protest, not a Michelin-starred restaurant, for chrissake.

Master doesn't micromanage me and lives 3 hrs away (for now). I used to work in the area and know it well and continue to interview for jobs down there as well as in Midtown.

I would say I've personally spoken to about 5-10 each time I've been down there (I'm not down there to protest or to loiter...I actually have business to accomplish downtown), for a total of about 70 people. Is it a huge amount? No, nor did I claim it to be that I have PERSONALLY spoken with.

EXCELLENT point. I know it isn't a Michelin-starred restaurant, but most of these people in their "protest" aren't doing much more than the homeless are doing....loitering. They are sitting on their asses, chanting with each other, playing drums or knitting, and getting in people's way who have to go to work or other appointments. They leave trash everywhere, defecate and urinate in the streets and in flowerpots. In Occupy Baltimore, they are telling women who are raped that it should be handled internally and to report it to their "security council" but they can report it to the police if they really want to.

and what constitutes wealth distribution in your mind, what did they say exactly did they say I want some of their fuckin money? Or did they say corporations are greedy and they need to pay their fair share, they have been legislated the legal standing of a person but have not been legislated a concsience? Given some of the daunting asswipe and misinformation you have spewed so far in contraindication of numerously available facts, your answers will be suspect. So, I dont think you are going to redistribute the wealth of your enlightenment too far afield.

Yes, it is about corruption and purchased politicians. But then you talk to people and they talk about the "greedy 1% who don't want to share the wealth". They talk about losing their jobs and getting foreclosed on their homes and somehow that is the fault of the "greedy 1%" instead of their own faults for borrowing more than they can afford to pay and living above their means. For people like Alec Baldwin, Tim Robbins, Russell Simmons, et.al., they are more than happy to hide as much of their money in "business expenses" to avoid paying taxes on it as they can while talking out of their other face saying how CORPORATIONS are greedy. And the sheeple eat it up and don't really think about what is being said. I understand their frustration, but they are taking their misery out on the wrong people. They should be marching down Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, DC and camping out in front of the Capitol building and demanding to be heard, and then kicking every last one of the incumbents out of office that voted to allow this crap. Yes, businesses have gotten very involved in lobbying, but then there are things that we can do. We can stop doing business with those companies if we are against them. If you don't like large corporations, don't buy Apple products or PCs new. Don't buy Abercrombie or Hollister new. Heck, don't buy anything new unless it comes from a local mom and pop OR how about purchasing stock in those companies and showing up at the shareholders meetings and voting. There are a lot of different ways that people can make a difference, but OWS just gives the appearance of a bunch of whiny losers with too much time on their hands.
