See where agreeing with me can get you in trouble, Fire? It's a dangerous habit.

Shit Rich, I'm a maso but I'm not THAT much of one. I think it's time to go to my doc and get the part of my brain that makes me agree with you excised.

It doesn't work. They wind up having to haul out the meds, when you keep seeing my posts, after the procedure.

<shrugs> well then I may as well take the path of least resistance and keep agreeing with you.

This chart means that today's average employee makes only $1.23 per hour than his/her parents had. And all while corporate profit and top wage earners have sucked up all the cash. I find it interesting that wages rose when unions were strong, when regulation was strong and when the wealthiest paid higher taxes but still managed to do far better than the rest of us.

That's probably with a generous cost of living allowance. My parents lived on a victorian farm in the country on the salaries of a State Employee at the management level and a Public School Admin and my mom only ever worked once the last of the kids were in about 5th grade.

Ever hear of things being adjusted to inflation?

There is no need to adjust their 90th and 95th percentiles for inflation. The numbers I gave were for people LAST YEAR, and again, 100 grand a year is not, by any stretch in the US, considered "wealthy."

The other information that is lacking in your "data" still has significant impact.

How many people were used in this sample?
What were the jobs that were used?
Are they looking at the salaries of the same people the whole time?

This ALL makes a difference in statistical analysis.
