Reince Priebus

I just read an article in which his name was stated, and the news source felt obligated to give the pronunciation of it, which is ryns PREE'-bus.

The GOP hasn't favored weird yuppie names before.  Look at their Presidential nominees: Dwight (Eisenhower), Richard (Nixon), Ronald (Reagan), George (Bush), Bob (Dole).  Nowadays, we have Mitt, sure, but the other nominees have simple first names.

The Dems had Lyndon before Barack, so they haven't have a lot of unpronounceable yuppie names.

Are boutique yuppie names a sign of things to come?

Yet the only source that lists where Priebus was born is the RNC NYC bio page. Yet even the Buffalo news didnt list where he was born,,,, instead stated where he grew up.

Its not that big a deal... its actually just one of those things that make me stop and go..
