Aside from the above, which pointed out to you that people don't have to be looking to be on this site, this is a networking site as much as it's a dating site, there is also the fact that very many people who are on here and are in a relationship are looking for a third person. So maybe you should try reading profiles, instead of bitching that other people are to blame for your own rudeness and incompetence while you're searching...

I don't see it the same as you do, OP. Back when I was actively looking, it went something like this: Do I like her pic(s)? Do I like her writing style? That covered content and form both. Is she currently available? Do I think that there might be incompatibility? This could include her having my religion on her Hates or Hard Limits list, or identifying strongly with another religion. It could have her having as a Loves or Lives For an activity that I Hated or had as a Hard Limit, or vice versa. When I read her description of what she was looking for, how close do I match? If she's bi or a switch, did I feel that I, as a straight Dom, could accommodate? Would she drop those aspects or would poly be a possibility? Was she willing to relocate or local? A woman's availability is a relatively quick check compared to the rest. And even if she's not available, I might decide to see if a strictly-friends relationship is possible.
