I like the profile but I'm going to agree with MissImmortalPain here and suggest you come up with a different photo.
Not sure about others but I feel that you staring at a cellphone (with a camera probably) isn't that inspiring and some might interpret that to be a lack of effort.
If you can't find a friend or someone to take a photo of you (and I can understand that it might be embarrassing or difficult) then you can maybe pick up a cheap tripod and cellphone holder off e-Bay and take your own photos using the self-timer. If you don't want to invest so much money then create something which will support the cellphone.
You look okay, but the way you are posing might be better off being different. The lighting and surrounding isn't that good.
Here's some suggestions which you might like to try for creating profile photos.
If you're taking photos indoors then do so in a place free of clutter or too much stuff in the background. You need to be the focus in the picture, not anything else.
The photo you have has your face 'out of frame' and this draws people's attention not to your face or your body, but to your hand holding the cellphone. Therefore your face and your body are framing your hand and the cellphone, giving both emphasis in the picture.
What you need to do is to frame your face - position yourself and the lens so that your face is somewhere in the centre or slightly off centre to one side. You then need to frame your face by having something else nearby - a door perhaps, a chair, and then everything else out towards the edges.
Lighting is especially important. Stand under a light if you're in a room to avoid creating shadows (which further distract people's attention) and to avoid reflection off your face or masking your features (by having the light in front of you) or darkening your features by being 'back-lit' or having the light behind you.
Then again take the photo outside during the day. Natural daylight is the best for personal photos.
Be sure to look into the lens when posing. Quite a few people when they see a photo which includes your face want to see your eyes. The lens needs to be positioned maybe around eye level or slightly higher.
Take lots of photos, 10, 20 even more. Change your positions and poses, experiment, and then when you've taken enough review them and pick your best ones.
Never be afraid to make use of Adobe Photoshop, or if you don't have that, the GIMP, or any other photo editing software. You can correct colours, lighting and such by adjusting levels (there's an 'auto' option) and if you're still not happy there's also 'curves' where you can drag a line across what is known as a histogram and modify the colours, hues, shades and lighting (there's reset if you're not happy).
It might seem a bit of a hassle or chore, but it's worth it to get a few decent photos, yes?
