I usually get a brownie mix, fix it up, toss in some chocolate chunks and bake.

Thanks for everyone putting up recipes etc., that's what i am hoping this thread becomes a smorgashborg (sp?) of awesome holiday cookie and candy recipes.   i am a recipe slut so please post your recipes even if i don't use them for this season, i probably will add them all to my recipe software.

Ya I used to do the same. Then one day I wanted brownies. Well I live 10 miles from a grocery store and am not going to drive 20 miles just so I can make a pan of brownies. I was digging around in the cupboards and realized that there was a recipe on my container of bakers cocoa so I tried it. All of the ingredients are things I almost always have in the house, so it's actually easier for me to make it from scratch.

I have found that if you take a brownie recipe that calls for water
and then you substitute this.  You take the amount of water called for
and then you warm it up and dissolve a large spoon or 2 of instant
coffee into it, then use it in the brownie mix.  COFFEE FLAVORED brownies!!!!!
