There's so many movies I really enjoy but here's a short list of ones I've seen over and over and will pretty much watch anytime they're on: Outlaw Josey Wales The Shining Pulp Fiction Death Proof Burnt Offerings Play Misty For Me Duel Black Snake Moan The Big Lebowski Halloween (the original '78 version) Hustle and Flow Drugstore Cowboy Stand By Me The Bad Seed and lots of others I'm forgetting at the moment........... They may not be considered great classics by everyone but they're sure great to me[:)]

Casino - One of the most underrated mob films. In my view, better than Goodfellas. American Psycho - I'd tell you why I like it... but I have to return some videotapes. Terminator 2: Judgment Day - This has me pursuing a career in law enforcement in hopes that I can have sword-arms made of liquid metal. Seriously, fuck Arnold. Robert Patrick made this and he said like two lines. "Call John." Mute Witness - The second half of this film gets too stupid, but the first 60 minutes is some of the best thriller action I've ever seen. The Warriors - Campy as FUCK but I don't care. It's unique, colourful, and has a street gang dressed as baseball players with KISS make-up get beaten up by guys in red leather vests and tight pants. Plus the most badass taunt was made here; "Come out to plaaay." Ed Wood - I love this film. I also pulled the string. Boris Karloff is a cocksucker. Falling Down - This is a great glimpse at my future.

Best foreign films Das Boot (the boat) visceral look at the day to day life of a German U boat crew. Diabolique (the original French, not the American remake). More plot twists than a barrel of rattlesnakes.

Diabolique is a great film. A movie that didn't do as well as it might have at the box office was The Proposition. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421238/ It's wonderfully shot in the Aussie outback, so many frames would make beautiful paintings. The violence is operatic, realistic, shocking and valid. A fine cast with Guy Pearce who is an under rated actor, Ray Winstone, Emily Watson and a ripe cameo from John Hurt. Written by Nick Cave of the Bad Seeds. I can watch this repeatedly.

My all time favorite is The Stand. DS, I too like Madeline Kahn. Pair her with Mel Brooks and I am in stitches. NS, I agree on The Warriors. There are just too many I've enjoyed.

I also love The Warriors, but it's in my category of bad movies that are so bad they are awesome. FYI...the Warriors movie is what inspired the Twisted Sister cover track: Come Out and Play Same with Rocky Horror. So bad it's brilliant...which is pretty much the case with Ed Wood. (edited to add: Ed Wood's movies, that is, not the movie about Ed Wood) I also have a huge soft spot for Robert Preston and The Music Man. But if we're talking musicals....I do love The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady.... Pretty much any early Mel Brooks and anything by Monty Python rocks my world... I love foreign films as well--fortunate to have always lived near an art cinema where I can always get my fill of foreign flicks.
