+1 for Jurassic Park -- I remember that feeling I got, when they panned over the clearing where all the dinosaurs were around the watering hole? Never went to Disney Land as a kid, but I think the feeling is probably similar.

And the herd of Parasaurolophus made me so happy; my favorite dinosaur ever. =p

Plus, the musical theme, so soaring and inspiring, it totally gets under your skin.

Yeah, that was a really great movie.

If you like horror movies w/a twist I highly recommend "Haute Tension" made in France.  You might guess the ending but it took me completely by surprise.  It's bloodier than the average horror movie but I watched it over/over

Has anyone mentioned "The Great Escape" yet?

I really liked "Kelly's Heroes" as well. 2 all-star casts.

Four Lions manages to take a serious subject i.e British Muslim Jihadi's & pour rancid piss over them for nearly 2 hrs. Satire at it's finest.
It includes a raven turned into a suicide bomber FFS!

Anything by Mel Brookes.

FR

During the past evening and night I have seen a handful of sci-fi movies:

Man from Earth - good movie
X-man first class - the best X-men movie I have seen
Pi - not so much sci-fi. It is about a mathematician who discovers something similar to the number Pi, but really more about his cluster headaches and how he eventually drills into his brain to stop it, destroying his mathematical talent. So its worth is in the emotional content
Super 8 - An acceptable movie
The fifth element - An excellent movie

Also various short clips.
