TheHeretic -> It's not him; it's us - part II (11/13/2011 9:01:58 AM)

First President Obama was declaring that the problem was that Americans have gotten soft, now the President is off telling the world that we are lazy.

Maybe he should set an example by telling the White House staff that, no, it isn't too much work to come up with the documents subpeonaed by Congress in the Solyndra corruption investigation?

I disagree. I think he has a point. And I think he does set an example, one which I personally have tried to follow.

When things are going down the crapper, I play golf.

Ah. I see Ken understands the gravity of the President deciding to use that word. He's trying to get the race card out there right off the bat.

You know what you can do with it, Ken.

now go be consistent I dare you

So you want me to help Ken derail my thread? Pass.

You have time to grab links to completely unrelated discussions, but not to type nine letters, and a space into Google?

Lucylastic -> RE: It's not him; it's us - part II (11/13/2011 10:09:53 AM)

I like to point out when you cant be consistent, like now.
mr perfecto
you know damn well that its on YOU to provide the links to support your argument, JUST like I did mine.
Fucking race card baiting you brought it up...I carried on with it

"But we’ve been a little bit lazy, I think, over the last couple of decades," he said at CEO summit at the APEC meeting in Hawai'i. "We’ve kind of taken for granted — well, people will want to come here and we aren’t out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new business into America."

Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who was participating in a CEO summit at the conference, told reporters he would not use the term lazy — but said the trend Obama was pointing to is hardly new.

I happen to agree with him.

My understanding, Rich, is that the WH released 135 pages, and withheld a "dozen" which were offered for committee review.

No, Lucy. I didn't bring up the race card. Ken, who obviously does keep up the news sometimes, tried to hang it on me to change the subject. As for what's geting said elsewhere I really don't give a shit about the Cain thing, and I'm not following the discussion.

Now that Tazzy has brought you up to speed, got anything to say about the subject matter? Do you think, for instance, that having the President of the United States describe the people of his country as "soft," and business as "lazy," is going to play well?

Lucylastic -> RE: It's not him; it's us - part II (11/13/2011 10:40:54 AM)

not with people like you
but as far as my opinion is?
yeah its true, the companies, corporations have been after the money, not the worker, not keeping jobs in your country, not providing opportunities for EVERYONE. Soft on solutions for the backbone of your society, you betcha, soft on regulating health and safety, enviroment and pollution control? Bloody right.
soft"?? except to the poor and under employed, fucking disgraceful is what I think, but, yanno, opinions are like assholes
and im sure yours stinks as much as mine and often
with regard to the race card, I didnt think you could be honest about it. You accept it from them because you dont "care" just goes to show
you dont care until it is applied to obama or a lib

tazzygirl -> RE: It's not him; it's us - part II (11/13/2011 10:43:34 AM)

Reagan forced SSI to rubber stamp everything denied.... and Republicans adored him. If he can get away with that, Obama wont have problems with telling the honest truth.

Lucylastic -> RE: It's not him; it's us - part II (11/13/2011 10:44:30 AM)

Gramm said americans were a bunch of whiners
Wasnt that JUST before the "crisis"
Before Obama

domiguy -> RE: It's not him; it's us - part II (11/13/2011 10:45:47 AM)

This is an interesting read on the subject at hand

tazzygirl -> RE: It's not him; it's us - part II (11/13/2011 10:45:59 AM)

How conveniently they forget.
