I wonder whats more noxious, the fumes from the Holland Tunnel or the stench from an OWS encampment.
Holland Tunnel, lmao, if they got any further from Wall Street they'll be in the Hudson River, with no Sully to save them.

WillBe... I am surprised you aren't being a gentleman and offering them your old piss-soaked private room at the hellfire club.

If it weren't for personal phone calls to sympathetic judges, do you think an after-hours search warrant would ever be granted?
It flows both ways.

Or an after hours writ of execution, which In just heard an NYC lawyer calling into the "Revolution" Progressive station in Boston says is invalid on two counts "The presented copies were not true and attest" and it "apparently wasn't a writ of execution at all".
He went on to say that those were two of many grounds for the injunction awarded to the protestors. I didn't hear this attorney's name unfortunately because I joined in mid conversation and had to head back out to get Danielle before they reintroduced him after the commercial break. It sounded like the Ed Shultz show though... but I haven't listened to that guy in a long while.

From who?
Oh wait, you mean the "Tazzzzzzy" reference... Okay ....
I'll tell you what, I hereby apologize not only to the first STUPID SHIT that tried threadwrecking, but to any subsequent ones I send into a snit later.
Pretty generous, since I am at the point with these clowns were I am more like to say I defended them. As in "a guy emailed me saying he blew 25 dead republicans and I stuck up for him. I said one of them moved.".

There's got to be a heavy weight BS Artist's Award that's hanging in the balance or some other exalted title he's after.

Occupy Wall Street: you can't evict an idea whose time has come The police may arrest us, force us from Liberty Plaza, but the movement of the 99% cannot be suppressed

Two months ago, just 200 of us set up an encampment at Wall Street's doorstep. Since then, Occupy Wall Street has become a national and even international symbol – with similarly styled occupations popping up in cities and towns across America and around the world. A growing popular movement has significantly altered the national narrative about our economy, our democracy, and our future.
Late into last night, we on the Occupy Wall Street PR team were reflecting on the successes, challenges and the aims of our movement up to this point. Over the weekend, some 20 writers sent us their thoughts on their experience with direct democracy and the evolution of the movement. We sat in awe for a moment at the various perspectives, backgrounds and motives of each OWS contributor and their journey through this burgeoning movement.

At exactly 12.54am – as the PR working group was culling final articles for this very editorial page, the Outreach team nearby was developing orientation materials for the new initiative "Occupy Your Block", and the Movement Building working group engaged in a conference call about national plans for the Day of Action on 17 November – an alert rippled room to room. At 1.20am, our phones started buzzing off the tables, overloaded with text messages. Three blocks away, and within seconds, we knew that hundreds of riot police were arriving, dump-trucks rolling in, subway stops shutting down, and the Brooklyn bridge had been closed. Via Twitter we knew our fellow Occupiers were chanting, "This is what a police state looks like." Half the people in the off-site office space ran to Liberty Square, leaving their laptops, their wallets, their phones even, behind.

PR working group member Jason Ahmadi texted the team from a police van full of 13 arrestees, and we soon discovered that NYC council member Ydanis Rodríguez had been arrested and was bleeding from the head. One after another text message alerted us to the effect that those not yet arrested at Liberty Square were being chased up Broadway, towards Chinatown. Some of our people headed to Foley Square by City Hall, some to Washington Square, and others to Judson Memorial Church, where so many of our meetings have been held these past weeks.

You have yet to show me anything that states a particular Judge must be contacted to issue a restraining order in NY.

We are all still waiting on that little gem.

Why?

I never aserted anything of the sort.

You are really showing your inability to comprehend words today.

I did assert you contact the courts and they choose a judge. Apperantly with a computer that randomly selects froma pool of qualified judges.

Which judge Ugly is not in.

But the courts have ruled.

You guys lost.

and you and silly skippy got nothing but insults and lies....

tazzygirl -> RE: Origonal OWS camp closed down in Manhattan (11/15/2011 2:31:51 PM)

You honestly believe you have to wait for a "qualified" Judge? Please, do show me the list of the qualifications for seeking out a Judge for a restraining order of this type... or any type.

luckydawg -> RE: Origonal OWS camp closed down in Manhattan (11/15/2011 2:35:48 PM)

and in fact silly skippy lied and said I insulted him by calling him stupid (in post 28)

I have never called him stupid, no matter how deserved the term.

And he is not man enough to apologize.

Of course I didn't think he would be.

However the idea that the city would have to prove jurisdiction to enforce health and saftey laws in the city is just Stupid.

There is no other term for it.

Stupid.

Not silly skip, but his legal theory.

As the courts have ruled....

State Supreme Court backs camping ban

The judge, Justice Michael D. Stallman of State Supreme Court, said that the demonstrators “have not demonstrated that they have a First Amendment right to remain in Zuccotti Park, along with their tents, structures, generators and other installations” to the exclusion of the landlord or “others who might wish to use the space safely.”

Owner59 -> RE: Origonal OWS camp closed down in Manhattan (11/15/2011 2:47:35 PM)

Judge said no.

Listening to a spokes person today when he was asked about having to leave,he said no problem.Asked about the curfew he said no one had a problem with that either. They would show up at dawn and leave and 9 pm or whenever.

It was no biggie."We`re like water" he said.

There was a union president there to with some members to give support and he said he`d be back Thursday evening for a big march. He said and I quote,"you can`t evict an idea."
