No ... he's got a point. As he CLEARLY Demonstrates, we have no substantial backing from people suffering from untreated psychiatric conditions.

Not that it applies ... but perhaps it does... 2 1/2 months ago 2 young guys who worked in the offsite data center set up in an apartment a few blocks from Liberty Plaza claimed they'd been told by a 30 something sympathetic to the cause and employed by the FBI that there was a week of meetings brainstorming going over the various "crowd control action templates" the FBI maintains.
Now that there's been such a systematic shutdown _attempt_ everywhere (I say that because there isn't a single real success under any mayor's belt... 'all those bad people' are still there and in fact have greater numbers virtually everywhere... yet another neo-con  jack-off fantasy shot to hell)... now that you see the similarities,,, these mayors are really stoking the conspiracy theorists ... I'm toying with dialing in George Noory ... though his show is so reminiscent of Willbe posts these days it isn't really sleep friendly as it used to be when the show was run by real kooks like Art Bell.

I've stopped listening to LuckyDawg a while back. The effort needed to decipher its unintelligible opinions is not worth it.

The greatest point of the Occupy Movement is the liquidity of it all. This is far from over and far from being finished, apparently.
If anyone has any problems with the Occupy Movement in its entirety find a solution or shut the hell up. A Knock is a Plug. By continuing to espouse how terrible and lazy Occupists are you continue to get people interested. Thanks for doing our work for us, actually.

If you are really bothered by the thought of smells and trash of places you will never see go to the Philippines, Laos, China. If that is too far find your local neighborhood bum and offer a bath. Your choice. Heaven forbid that the OWS Sanitation Crew cleaned the park for free every day, made sure people were safe...

Changing the Government is the Right of the People. In fact, it is our Job and Duty as American Citizens.

What I see here is massive rules lawyering in favor of the very thing the Occupiers are protesting against. Amazing! Not only precious tax dollars were decidedly wasted on policing an apparently disorderly but peaceful assembly for positive change for a cause greater than themselves.

All of these little drips do not add up to much but watch out for the tide that sweeps all of those precious stones back into the water.

Reactivism much?

:P

OWS has looked clean as a whistle in most of the pictures I've seen ... Clutter? Well it's a freaking campout... people should do the math.
I have spent a TON of time in Occupy Boston and can tell you that it doesn't have any odor, besides the smells of cooking.
People are able to shower away from the site due to the generosity of two homeless shelters in Boston and the site has now twice passed municipal health inspections.

I think that now, is when we'll start to see who is willing to go out on a limb for this movement. And I personally feel the real surprise is not going to be in the "who", but the "how many" and the "how diverse".

ACLU and NLG File Suit to Protect Occupy Boston
Civil rights advocates seek protection for peaceful protest at Occupy Boston FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tuesday, November 15, 2011 CONTACT:
Chris Ott, Communications Director, ACLU of Mass., 617-482-3170 x322, [email protected] Howard Cooper, Todd & Weld LLP, 617-720-2626 BOSTON — Civil rights attorneys from the National Lawyers Guild and the American Civil Liberties Union went to court today seeking to protect the rights of free speech, assembly, petition, and association for demonstrators at Occupy Boston in Dewey Square, in light of the heavy-handed police crackdowns in recent days on Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York, Portland, Ore., and Oakland, Calif.

“The Greenway is a public park and traditional open public forum and, as such, is a place where rights of free speech and assembly are paramount,” said Howard Cooper, an attorney from Todd & Weld, who filed the suit as a cooperating attorney with the National Lawyers Guild-Massachusetts Chapter and the ACLU of Massachusetts. “It is unreasonable to suddenly and forcibly oust peaceful protestors from streets, sidewalks, and parks that have long been used as places for peaceful expression,” said Cooper.

The suit, filed in Superior Court, seeks a Declaration from the Court recognizing the right to peaceful protest and assembly under the U.S. Constitution and the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights, as well as an injunction to prevent police from staging another night-time raid, such as the one that began Oct. 10, 2011 and continued into the early morning hours of Oct. 11, when the Boston Police conducted a mass arrest of 141 people in the middle of the night.

Although Boston police have said that they have no plans “today” to evict the Occupy Boston protesters, Boston Police Department spokesperson Elaine Driscoll told boston.com that, “It’s difficult to say what will happen moving forward, but we will make those decisions on a daily basis.” Meanwhile, a BBC report aired on WGBH this morning suggests that the recent crackdowns in other cities may be part of a coordinated effort. Oakland Mayor Jean Quan said that she participated in a conference call with leaders of 18 cities shortly before the latest wave of raids targeting Occupy Wall Street encampments across the country were launched, although she didn’t mention Boston by name.

“What happened in Boston on the night of October 10th when the police prevented hundreds of peaceful protesters from exercising their constitutional rights could be viewed as an indication of the City’s sentiments,” expressed Urszula Masny-Latos, Executive Director of the NLG, Massachusetts Chapter. “It seems like the Courts declare our rights; however, it is up to the Mayor and the police to decide who can exercise them, when, and how.” “The right to peaceable assembly and protest is critical to our democracy,” said Carol Rose, Executive Director of the ACLU of Massachusetts. “We urge the Court to issue a clear statement that, in America, the public streets and parks belong to the people, and the rights to peaceful protest and assembly will be protected.”

Also ... if you have a moment ... tune in to The Occupy Boston Livestream to hear the decidedly more strategic look and feel the GA is taking on. And what I can't find out but suspect because the online GA has no less than 10 guys identifying as attorneys in attendance. But check out the GA at least:

I just heard the two words I have been longing to hear from day 10 or so.... amicus curiae

This is going to be a big old ass-fucking for those opposed to the movement trying to beat us in the courtroom ... PROVIDED of course, the early representation is substantial and competent. Which I have little doubt about.

Bastards.

It would be far better, I think, to just let the encampments go to rot and filth and disease. We can steam clean the concrete, and haul the top 8-12 inches of shit, blood, urine, and God knows what else, contaminated topsoil off to the landfill, when it has run its course.

Let the tubercular homeless spread their disease, let the crime, drugs, and assaults take their toll. Let us all see the decay that is the inevitable product of such a poorly thought out approach, and the emptiness of the vision.

Don't turn public expressions of free speech into a crime, for fuck's sake! Don't shove them out to look pathetic and lost, and pitiful, with sob to stories to pass along. Don't drive them out, with a grudge in their hearts, where their anger will allow them unity.

No. Let them learn for themselves that there is no "there" along the path they have chosen to follow. Let them go home to fester with the solitary bitterness of failure, and perhaps a few will experience an epiphany about how they once saw the world.

I may not agree with the message I see from the OWS encampments, but GODAMMIT, they have the fucking RIGHT to make their case, as they wish to make it!

Part of the problem, at least in LA, is there is no "they". Most of the original LA protestors are long gone, replaced by a few new earnest protestors, hired hands, union reps, a bunch of homeless people.

So we let it run the course all the same. The movement is still claiming them. That's the great thing about free speech, Wilbur. Let it go on, and you get to figure out what things really are. Do you notice, for instance, how Skip has gone from mouthing nice words about the good relationships they have with the cops, to exposing the filth and hatred towards law enforcement that lives in his heart?

Do you know why he blocks my posts? Because he just can't help but show what he really is. I posted a cartoon he didn't like, he responded with a personal shot at my family. When I called him on his scum, he just wasn't going to talk to me anymore. Let him, and them, twitter and stink, all the way to the end.

Is this an admittance of a bigger issue?

More than noticed...anticipated. How they've managed to not revive the "Off the pigs" signs from the 60s shows some amount of organization.

Everything you need to know is in the LA Times though:

"Sipaque said it seemed the environment in L.A. was more placid than at other encampments.

"Maybe it's the weed calming everyone down," he said, "but the mood is mellow."

"We get the business done, and we have fun," said Ivan Adamsel, 18, of Moreno Valley. "That's why the movement is the movement."

No, Ivan, thats why the movement is meaningless.

There are all sorts of bigger issues, Pyro. If you are asking if I know deep down that they are right, oh, hell no. My issue is with the rights of free expression being trampled.

So what is the motive in all of this Heretic?

In a game of resources it is a strange tactic to shake the hive for its honey.

I also noticed how excited he gets when he thinks there is trouble brewing. It seems like he is hoping the cops will start trouble just so he can scream about how awful they are. Not that I take him seriously, I already caught him lying and I don't expect that to change soon.
