So once again my employers have texted me telling me their NOT paying me.....they keep making all sorts of excuses last time it was they didnt get the money they were supose to this time its they didnt get their baby bonus and i keep beleiving their going to pay me and im supose to be getting a table and now i dont know what the heck to do im getting really irritated HELP they keep making excuses!!!

Contact labor and industries, or whatever agency handles employment complaints in your state, and make a wage and hour claim.

Contract your local legal services clinic, bar association free legal clinic, or a law school legal clinic to get representation.

You are supposed to get a table?  What does that mean?

I am sorry but this is your first post here, we have no fucking clue what the back story on this is, and it makes about as much sense as a crack hoe's ramblings at 4am on that cops programme. (whatcha gonna do when they come for youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?)

if it was that easy if have done that but im a babysitter and it want all done legally it was just cash and hand so im going to just get bulled around till they feel like paying me i worked from 4pm till 12 the following day!!!! what annoys me the most is i keep beleiving that their going to pay me and planning my weekend around getting paid....! im getting so annoyed their like oh can we work a payment plan out? and her husband has the nerve to say "oh and money tight cause christmas is just around the corner." JUST because i dont have children DOESENT mean I dont have bills to pay, pets to feed etc....now i have a massive headach...and then he says oh and stop giving us dirty looks! (like what they can see threw the phone and im supose to be smiling when they owe me 140 dollars???

the back story is i work from 4pm until 12pm like 2 weeks ago i get paid every other week they were supose to pay me last week and they said oh i didnt get all the money i was supose to and then they said they'd pay me this week and now its oh we didnt get a baby bounus (that what they get here in canada when u have a child you get free money like a tax break every month) and now their say oh she isnt getting it now (the women i baby sit for) sorry im just frusterated and im home alone and noone to talk to!!!!

as far as the table I was going to buy this table with the money they were supose to pay me and now i cant becaues i dont have the money they were SUPOSE to pay me was what i was saying you know you rely on money and then someone says their not paying you!!!

You are working at something you will have a hard time and really isn't wise in fighting for.

So, with Christmas being right around the corner... you need to find another job so that you can have one, pay your bills or whatever.. and sorry you have to find a new sitter on such short notice. Merry Christmas ass hole.

Done deal... life experience... move on. You got ripped off, you let them do it more than once. Learn and move on. I'm sorry you got ripped off... but you did. Now let them know you won't get ripped off again. You go back for more and you only have yourself to blame. Do keep in mind... in cash situations like that... get paid in advance for sitting. Many sitters do it that way just for this reason.

Go take a walk, blow off some steam.

Easy. Quit babysitting for the douche canoes and get clients that will pay.

I do not think the inability to purchase a table is any great disaster.

thanks for the support, im also currently a student trying to get my dog grooming diploma so i can become my own boss i would NOT do any dogs without cash in advance normally when ive sit i ask for the money right up front but i THOUGHT i could trust them and others in the past one person ive watched didnt pay me for a WHOLE month!!!! I love kids...maybe thats why i keep getting screwed about because i like watching children...ive worked in daycare too and they promised full time and never gave it to me...! But you right I have had enought of these people and I am going to basically say it as professinally as possible ive had enough and they need to find someone eles!!!

it is if you dont have a table that you really want lol and someone eles might buy it and you need a table so that you have a place for people to eat on at christmas lol sorry im sounding like a drama Queen...I CANNOT express how many people have screwed me over and not in a good sense...!

Yeah, it's frustrating when people don't keep their word. I don't know what legal recourse you have with the type of job that it was and being in Canada. You have a small menu of things you can do - bother them until they cough up some or all of the money or let it go. The next decision to make is whether to keep babysitting for them or not. With their history I'd recommend not.

You are bringing this drama on yourself. In essence, you are bending over and asking for it.

I think you need to pay attention to Lockit's common denominator statement here. If it's happened to you before and still happens then you need to acknowledge that you need to work on some things here. First of all recognizing situations that have the potential to screw you over, secondly not getting into them. It sucks having to deal with things but don't let yourself be a victim. It's our own responsibility how others treat us on an ongoing basis.

Your right Killer, what gets to me is im only asking 5 dollars a hour NOT even what the teenagers are asking....they dont give me ANY notice....I think its time to just get on with things...I mean in the past they HAVE paid me but as my husband says NO PAY NO WORK...! They have the nerve to contune to text me about how they dont know if they will have the money to buy their children gifts or pay bills etc...how they owe 8000 to the goverment etc....I WILL not be made the idiot...Im better then that...just because im submissive and like pleasing other does NOT make me a walking carpet for jerks...! From now on I say cash up front or No work if i decide to babysit and i really dont have to babysit its purely for "spending money." My husband does ok...! And once im done college I will have a business going and hopfully do okay too! But thank you all for your comments and caring thoughts its appericated!!!
