It is a common misconception to believe that women are equal and the sooner the proper place of women is recognised the sooner western society can start to mend itself. No man suffers the endocrine onslaught of menstruation and. try as I might, I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to endure that torment month after month. While I would not claim it must turn one's wits permanently, it must surely have an effect on rational thought; one only has to look at the record of the Thatcher government in the UK for the proof of that.

Oops.. almost forgot to block the bigot as well. Ta ta, slick.

Ladies...how many Sheiks do you know whose grandfather would tell them not to trust anything that bleeds for a week and doesn't die, who uses terminology like riff raff and low-life and makes references to penis envy?

That was my maternal grandfather who fought in the Great War alongside English officers and, latterly, also alongside Americans.

No introduction at all, just a bit of advice to an embarrassing Essex girl in pink. For the UK to USA translation please ask in private because I have been flamed for answering such questions here.

She isnt the one who brought it to a message board looking for validation. I dont think she is embaressing at all.  I have to wonder if your intent was really to offer a "bit of advice" or if you had something more in mind.  Do you offer a bit of advice via email to non-local girls as well?

Sinergy -> RE: Is BDSM to popular (6/2/2006 6:33:32 PM)

Hello A/all,

Is this Dominant too demanding?  Is this submissive too demanding?

I think a lot of it really boils down to market forces.

People who seek to acquire something tend to have variable standards in play depending on their success at getting something.

A workable analogy to this would be the idea that "All (men, women) are 10s when the bar closes.  Or the applicable euphemism of beer goggles.

If Dom/sub X has a vast number of standards that other people find ridiculous, I would state that "hey, if it works for them" logic applies.
The person will do one of two things a) find what they are looking for, or b) alter their standards.

It is all good.

Just me, I could be wrong, and there you go.

Sinergy

I was always curious just how many posts it takes to totally destroy any credibility someone could have. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.

Damn I need to see that movie and see if I am doing everything right!

Evidently not, as a real secretary would either be able to spell "preposterous" or would leave the spell-checker activated.

Are you sure that "embarrassing Essex girl" is not a tautology?

You are asking him if the girl in question is a redundancy...  Logically looking at your selection of "embarrassing Essex girl", you are insulting the girl by saying that since she is female, she must be embarrassing.  Or that she is embarrassing because she's from Essex.  Given your previous insults regarding the female intellect and emotional stability, the former is more likely.  Which means that you are still insulting the female sex.  And this time the girl in question hasn't even said a word to you.  So much for maturity and manners on your part, sir.

I love you Loki!*  As always, your comments are most welcome!

I don't think it took that many. ::chuckles::

By the way, Loki, I can't get into the forums on Klashaan. It says the page does not exist. [sm=ofcourse.gif]

takes zuma to one side....

whispers,  even the Essex people take the mickey out of the Essex people.

Folk in England can laugh at jokes about themselves.  Our humour is second nature, and the most common jokes, which are Essex jokes can be translated to most areas in the UK, but specifically Essex which has official joke books about the county.

Hee!  Very funny!  Things must be a bit slow at Fallowfield Hall - I see from the University of Manchester website that it's one of the IT buildings, not a residence.  So since you have no bed, I guess you have to sit up all night on the computer.

George Bush a liberal!  Hee!  What else will you think of?

Must be another George Bush wandering around?  Wonder what his middle initial is!

Thankies angel, you doll. My best to your Master.

Ohh I get it......

Back up your friends... very admirable!

Childish, as one would hope you had a mind of your own Wulf"chyld", but admirable all the same.

Given the nature of all his other posts on this thread, do you honestly think he was intending friendly banter?  There's still the matter of the fact that the person being joked about isn't even part of this conversation to my knowledge.

That aside, I'll file your comment about Essex away somewhere.  I've not yet been able to visit the UK, but I would like to eventually.

Weel then, the most appropriate joke in the book for you would be...

What's the best thing about Essex?

The Road out!

Not that im against Essex, as you can see, it can be used anywhere.

Bugei -> RE: Is BDSM to popular (6/2/2006 6:50:06 PM)

You said :-

"First, I am not a girl, "

I must apologise Sir .

"I'm a grandmother and I've earned every one of my gray hairs so you can save your condescending remarks for the 25 year old neophytes whom you like to intimidate."

I do not give advice to those I intimidate.

"Second, no, you never answered how it is that you believe that it's quite all right to post someone private email to a public forum. "

Why is an abusive impolite response sacrosanct? Who made this one of the ten?

"In my book, that makes you a liar."

Your book has no relevance to any one but you.

"How's that for a limited set of values?"

One day you may understand but please don't hold your breath.

"If you believe that ones private email and respecting their private email falls under the category of 'limited values' there is nothing more I wish to say to you as you obviously live in some other universe than the one which I inhabit."

Yes exactly.

"I don't know what you call your universe but I call mine 'reality"

I am sure you do but my reality is thankfully not yours.

."You have exposed yourself to my satisfaction and I have no further use for you. You are dismissed, little boy."

Celeste

I am glad you are satisfied. Lets hope we can get back to the reality of the point of this debate and not your narrow view of life.
