My ass is delicious BTW.

Most folks who advertise as self suckers are usually talking about the front.

What you starving old wolves need to realize is the first sign of leadership and etiquette is not to gang up on someone at the slightest provocation. Luckily, I am more than strong enough to DEAL with your mediocre insults, but I must say, in fact I feel it is my duty to say, if Michel Foucault is looking down at you, he is most assuredly, quite ashamed at the way his dream is being misrepresented. Think about that.

Okay, Okay, I apologize for saying "go to hell."

The truth is you guys crack me up so hard I can't be mad at you. As much as I wish it wasn't the case, I think there are some warm-hearted BUT PLATONIC feelings stirring toward most of you. Sorry I can be an arrogant prick sometimes. The photo verify thing was just an idea but everyone seemed to really tear it apart.

Why is there so much resistance to the verification concept?

Because it presumes something about the other person. It is insulting. And holding up a card to take a mugshot is just stupid (and actually easily faked).

A**Master you state in your profile "I HAVE BEEN CALLED A TRUE MASTER." Who did this ... your mother, sister, aunt?

Well, I am also on some other vanilla dating sites. (Sigh.) Why does nobody expect me to verify there? Why is this different?

Been on the Internet since the late 1980s, so I've seen my share of flames. First on USENET, then the web. In fact I consider myself something of a connoisseur of the art of ragging on people via electronic mediums. I say this by way of introducing my opinion that this:

quote:

ORIGINAL: AlchemicalMaster
You are more hilarious than the BDSM monks from the Clive Owen film "King Arthur".

is one of the worst flames I've ever seen. Look, if you're going to reference a movie it either needs to be massively popular so that everyone's got a strong opinion on it or vanishingly obscure so that people just assume you're a film buff who knows what he's talking about. I mean of every movie in the history of the world you go with "King Arthur"? That's the foundation on which you're going to build your insult? It's the kind of movie that gets a 6 out of 10 rating from critics. That means it won't really produce any major reaction in folks who saw it. They didn't hate it, they didn't love it, it was just there. Kind of like this attempt at a flame. I mean I saw "King Arthur", but for the life of me I don't remember any BDSM monks. Most people who read this will just go "Huh? BDSM monks in post-Roman, pre-Norman England? You'd think I would remember that." Where you've failed here is to elicit any kind of reaction. The reader won't be angry, because the source is too middle-of-the-road. They'll likely just shrug and forget you. And being forgotten is the worst thing that can happen to a flame thrower.

Compare to:

quote:

THis is seriously funnier then the time I killed that demon when I drank too much Ayahuasca.

Now that's better. I didn't even know what the heck Ayahuasca was, so I had to look it up. Doing so helped distract me from the fact that your insult doesn't really make sense, and in fact isn't even a proper burn. For me to know how funny something is you have to provide me a baseline - tell me about how you were all hopped up on Ayahuasca trying to beat Pazuzu to death with a 16" purple dildo, and then I'll know just how darned funny you find all this forum chatter. Still, you've at least given the reader something to work with, some mystery to explore. Always leave them wanting more, naked dude.

Which concept? The photo holding a sign thing or what other type of system? Basically if it's a personal thing like asking a person to take a picture of themselves, I guess it depends on what stage you're at, at first it's offensive and I'd not do it. If I don't really know you yet I'm not really willing to go too far out of my way yet.
