Oh nice, that's super cheap! ^_^ And I like that they tell you the expiration date.

Buzzzz -> RE: Staple guns (11/20/2011 3:30:54 PM)

Make sure you also buy 2 , I repeat, two staple removal tools (justin case you lose one)... You will need it to remove them.

OMG that link is Owwwieee... lol my Sir said "at least when I do that to you it will be a medical stapler" - not sure how much conselation that is though!

I have tried staples and love the feel, though being stapled "there" scares me.... agirl, we have been discussing stapling the mouth, but concerned for scars, how long did the marks take to go may i ask?

They lasted about 3 days as noticeable....a few of them had bled and had little mini-scabs that I kept rubbing off accidentally....lol

After 4 days you'd hardly have known I'd had it done.

It was really painful and I can't say I'd be looking forward to it happening again....lol

eta......I've got no scars from it, by the way.

Staples were actually clip's path to warming up to the idea of needles.  It helped get him past the mental issue of having his skin broken.  Something of a gateway, if you will.  Yes, it's different, but it was close enough to get him over the issue that he had.

From the top side, nothing could be easier.  It's literally just hold the staple gun against the skin and squeeze.  You can decorate a person with ribbon, attach beads to the ribbon if you'd like, create angel wings with feathers, etc.  The coolest thing that I've seen so far was the design of a dream catcher on someone's back that I keep telling clip that I want to do on him one of these days.

I'm another vote for only using the medical staples and disposable gun.  They aren't that expensive and the cartridge holds 35 staples.  That's more than enough to have some fun with.  Taking them out is even easier than putting them in.  (By the way, there's a small pic of clip's first time trying it on My 'other' profile where we used some purple ribbon.)  I haven't bought any since the move, but Kinkymedical has them and they ship all over the country.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Staple guns (11/21/2011 7:52:23 AM)

That's interesting, LadyPact ^_^ Thanks for sharing that. I've only tried needles a few times, and they usually give me this prickly feeling that's similar to the one I get when I'm around someone who really doesn't like me. hahaha
So they're uncomfortable mostly for that reason.
When I tried them, I had one stuck into one of my tits, which wasn't bad, but one stuck into my shoulder/upper back was horrible. =p
If clip isn't busy, maybe he would pop by and share his experience? Or he can PM me, if he'd rather. Whichever way. =p

Sounds ouchy...but in a good way. I could be wrong though. [:D]

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Staple guns (11/22/2011 3:47:50 AM)

Oh totally. I have a feeling it crosses my "can't motivate myself" threshold. :p

TheFireWithinMe -> RE: Staple guns (11/22/2011 4:02:43 AM)

One thing I DO know is that it won't be happening with casual play. It's going to have to be with someone I have incredible trust with.

Buzzzz -> RE: Staple guns (11/22/2011 5:27:03 AM)

they don't hurt that bad. It is more of a mental thing. Once you try it, you'll go "oh, that's it?"

Same with hot strike branding. People get themselves in a right state before its done but once they feel it they can't believe how little it hurts!

Yeah that's what someone else said about the surgical ones vs. the hardware type -- the surgical ones are more like a pinch (I guess it depends what you're stapling, though), and the hardware ones are a little more ridiculous.

strangedesire -> RE: Staple guns (11/22/2011 8:22:47 AM)

I actually was lucky enough to go to a stapling demo this weekend. Surgical staplers are absurdly easy to use. They really don't hurt that much, either - just a pinch.

We did discuss industrial staples a little. The presenter didn't feel comfortable with them, so it was more "well, he soaks them in something to sanitize them" than anything than a how-to. Even if I could sterilize them, and the gun, I'd be pretty nervous about them. Surgical staples bend into a little box shape under the skin, so you can put pressure on them without driving them further into the body.

(This was demonstrated via punching, to the delight of the demo bottom. I love my life.)

I think industrial staples just go straight in, right? With a gun, you don't have much control over depth, either. You'd need to be really knowledgeable about your partner's anatomy. It's a little too edgy for me, personally.

JstAnotherSub -> RE: Staple guns (11/22/2011 8:28:26 AM)

Damn you Lilly, now I want to be stapled!

Yeah but that mental thing, the build up, anticipation mixed with nerves is a total aphrodisiac. Tell me about hot strike branding, sounds like something to add to my list.

In fairness, I think I need to start another topic on that!
