We had a stapling demo last night, which was so awesome. :) I got to try both medical and industrial staples and enjoyed them both. The medical ones didn't hurt really, but I imagine that depends on where you're putting them - like the lips like agirl described, would probably be hurty. :p
But they're also a great way for people freaked out by needles to do some fun lacings and designs - manipulating them makes them delightfully achy and warm, kinda like clothespins.
The industrial ones hurt more - the first one I didn't notice more than a pinch and the POW from the gun, but successive ones get ouchier and ouchier. They're a great mindfuck in and of themselves because it's like "holy cripes, that's a staple gun!" And takig them out can be bloody, which some people dig. :p
They also did explain that there are risks innvolved, obviously, with the coatings and binders of the staples, but the /s explained how she cleans them aand her guns as best as possible. That's cool for me. :) and all I have left are delightfully sore mini vampire bites, but nothing big and scartastic.
All in all, very cool. :)
If you're curious about something it's nice to get the chance to have a try, so I'm glad you got to try it out.
The lip stapling was painful, as they're densely populated with nerve-endings, but it's pretty short lived. It was something we hadn't done before and as a stunt, I wouldn't be at all interested (re the Jackass post). It was done during an intimate time and M is a sadist....and I like taking trips down HIS road.
It's never the activity itself that we like, but the fact that HE can and that I will.
I found it a physical challenge but I can't say there's much about it that would make me lust for it unless we dropped into one of those intimate times again.
I'm not fond of personal pain..I'm fine with other people's :)
And to Nocturnal Stalker...Challenging yourself isn't boring no matter what it is. I don't think it matters what the challenge is. What challenges do you undertake?
