Sanity, it would have helped if that was stated from the beginning. I'm a centrist, so I cannot speak for liberal media (I tend to avoid politics all together since its like pulling teeth to get an unbiased report of this from either side. You're annoyed with that? Imagine how people like me feel when almost all information is corrupted by somebody's opinion. I tried to leave that "he said, she said" crap in high school. Now, about this subject matter- I do not believe Obama is trying to be aloof about anything. He wouldn't have greyed so much in 3 years and look as if he hasn't slept in a month if he was being disconnected on purpose. But I digress. He needs a break once in awhile to keep from jumping off a building. And Geez, it was the day after thanksgiving, he deserve a moment to himself. And I felt that way about Bush as well. I'm surprised that a president hasn't committed suicide from being under that much stress. So really, I don't see the big deal. You feel different, and that's fine too. Unless somebody came and told Obama at that very moment what had happened, I cannot see how when he was playing golf and the events that transpired correlate with each other. If he was in the office that day, would it have prevented the attack? I don't see what he was doing at the time could have any kind of effect. That's like holding a police officer responsible for a rape that happened on the other side of the city because he was getting breakfast from mcdonalds, in my opinion. And i'm not attacking you, or any other members here, but are you(in the general sense) not criticizing Obama for playing golf while some type of upset was going on? Not just here, but I have read in numerous other places of people getting on Obama's case for doing anything other than sitting in the office. Taking Michelle on a date - BAD OBAMA! Taking a vacation with his children- BAD OBAMA! Playing basketball in the WH gym - BAD OBAMA! Now, I am not defending obama. I think he was criticized more, only because bush and his wife did not appear to sleep in the same bed. However he was criticized and there is no denying that. At the same time, many people do give him more credit than he deserves, good or bad. And there is no denying that either. He has opposing views to others - criticism is inevitable.
