my name by no means is legally changed and never will be, but Master does address me by something else not a persons name but a derogatory name and it is on my tag along with Masters initials. The way i look at it is that i am Masters property and i would want it no other way. When speaking with other Doms i do prefer to be called slut as with me it is very empowering and of course the initials on my tag indicates who Master is. i suppose it is a form of degradation and would depend on how far a couple wishes to take it. if one wants a number so be it and if one wishes numbers so be it and if one wishes a total legal name change, well that is their decision too.

Why, thank you. And yeah, I understand--some people could interpret it as degradation (and some people might like that, others might not--different strokes, different folks.) Just my two cents on how it is for me. :)

It's all about the people involved. For example, personally I would not like being called "slut" and it would feel very disrespectful to me. However, I know that many others find it to be a term of endearment and are not offended by it in the least.
