Hillwilliam -> Barney Frank won't run for reelection. (11/28/2011 7:38:35 AM)

http://news.yahoo.com/barney-frank-wont-run-election-150044884.html

Some conservatives, this will make their day. Others are wondering who will I complain about now?

16 terms tho. PLENTY and more. He was setting up to be the Strom Thurmon of the Left.

is about time, but yeah, lol who will they whimper about now:)

Should be interesting, because the Republicans never even ran a candidate against Frank in several of his 15 re-election wins. Even when they did run someone against him, his worst showing was when he only got 52% of the votes (in his first election in 1980).

More than likely, whoever gets the Democratic nomination for that Congressional seat won't have a Republican opponent either.

I'm sure they'll find somebody.

Just because the scum is skimmed off the top of the pond doesnt mean there isnt plenty of fetid swamp left beneath it. Dodd Frank and Kennedy represent the worst of Congress over the last 20+ years. (WTF were New Englanders thinking in the first place). We are all better off without them.

Just more unmitigated partisan bullshit. There are many on the right over history would have had us in a capitalist fascism already, not taking the right wing's patient approach we have today.

Kennedy's record was and will continue to be unmatched in Senate in bills passed and those sponsored that also passed. If a repub is elected to replace him, that district is and this country will be...certifiably insane.

TV...er T party money backers have literally a golden opportunity here. They could buy 'free' speech and spread lies for a year and many will take hold.

They were thinking of 'What Lies Beneath' in the slime of the 'conservative' miasma.

Of course he won't run again, look at the mess he's made!

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Barney Frank won't run for reelection. (11/28/2011 11:05:45 AM)

You can't be serious. The three most partisan asswipes in congress and a post about them is partisan? Kennedy is an embarrassment to his brothers' legacy. Perverting "Camelot" into a big government power grab that has hurt the people it was supposed to help.

In related news, the Dow rocketed up 300 points today [;)]

It is actually down about 150 points.  So, you again proved the opposite of what you intend (which is alright, because reality is).

Hillwilliam -> RE: Barney Frank won't run for reelection. (11/28/2011 11:43:55 AM)

Market is up as of right now and tis a good thing. No, I don't think it has shit with Frank. I'd definitely like to see it trend upward for a bit. The only thing I can think of is the announcement of record Black Friday sales.

I'll have you folks know that I didn't even buy fucking gas that day. Stayed home away from the madness.

They're gonna be bummed... We don't have anymore gay politicians with speech impediments... We'll GLADLY throw them Tom Menino if it'll make up for it... he's easily three times as funny as Frank.

Hey ... I used to LOVE Strom Thurmon "Misstuh Churmon... Mistuh CHURMON"

You're probably right ... though I don't know how the RedAssMass clowns will be able to resist running someone like one of their usual gems like Kamal Jain who accuses everyone who will say hi to him of being a "liberal communist".

SE Mass - Mass going republican would be a real shock and WAY more money out of the GOP Coffers to win than they'd ever gain.

Historically, before the advent of the Kennedy dynasty, and the shirttail comets they gathered in their wake..... MA was a pretty solid republican state......

Especially if you go back into the Whigs, Puritans and No-nothings.

Very true, we've still got the entire GOP Majority in the House as a sordid reminder of the kind of shit that floats in the bowl.

If you go back to the Flintstones era there were dinosaurs as well.
