Dear heavens, it's December. A month until tax season, and I am so not ready! Well, I am ready MENTALLY, but not in any other fashion. I have staff lined up for the season, the marketing stuff is nearrrrly ready for the printer, and I am going to a two day update class next week. A friend has kindly (insistently!) lent me her wheelchair so I don't have to hump down long hotel hallways on crutches. November was horrid, on so many levels, except for this past weekend at OldHen's!! YAY for CM Imaginary Friends! Now that I have been humping around for all of four days on these blasted sticks, I have the motivation to become my old self. My left side is furious for the fall I took getting IN to the house Sunday (awesome bruise action!), my hands are swollen, and every joint hurts EXCEPT the cracked ankle. My entire SPINE made crunching noises yesterday! I am Rickety. [X(] So, howsit with y'all?

Recovering from the MRSA scare nicely. Need to finish up the kids gifts for Christmas. Ordered a few more Anne McCaffrey books for my collection. Still no fellow but I got subs wanting to contact me (they live too far away). In the middle of laying the living room floor down, just need a jigsaw so I can cut out for the registers. Probably need some liquid nails to keep the floor from bowing. Weight fluctuating like crazy and Mom needs to make more fudge. Still dealing with my nerves in my lower right back, so I can't walk for exercise or stand too long. Been jamming to Evanessence on Youtube (the group defines my bipolar).

Thanksgiving was good but I'm glad it's over! Now on to the Yuletide season. I just got all the decorations up and then I got a massive cold. I still don't have a submissive, but I'm writing to some and, if my cold gets better by then, I'm supposed to meet two of them in the next week and a half or so. It's taking awhile to get to that point due to all our schedules and commitments, etc. But, where there's a will there's a way.

Wow... I too am floored that its December... Lady Hib... do you have someone fetching and carrying for you... making tea and anything else your heart desires? We are through my birthday (quiet, but great fun) and Thanksgiving, also quiet -- and the big Mr. DC Eagle contest (we made the Metro Weekly photo spread two times, though its not unusual), and several meetings for planning Leather Pride here this summer. Christmas cards are made, though not written yet (we did them by hand this year) and most of my Christmas shopping is done. The wrapping is going to take me for ever! We are having Brunch here this Sunday -- Boots and Brunch, food and leather care. It should be great fun and the house will be full of bootblacks and people learning leather care and a bunch of Top types to chat with. I can't wait. Christmas will be quiet and home. I'm on duty, on purpose, so we didn't have to go anywhere. Darling boy will go pick up Mom on Christmas day and we will hang out and enjoy ourselves. Oh, before that darling boy is taking me to NYC for a weekend -- she has it all planned -- including a very funny itinerary she gave me. I get to just show up. It will be fun and I like making a trip to NYC before Christmas. and I forgot.. our cultural outting for Christmas is The Kinsey Sicks show -- Oy Vey in a Manger... darling boy has not seen them before but I have and insisted that we go ...I like irreverant Christmas things. Hope all are well, even though December really did sneak up on us.

Wrapping things up here, getting ready to jump a plane and fly a long way, friend had a heart transplant, all a bit shocking, so right now juggling work and doing everything so I can take care of him and do some work in a different time zone, including all the paper work and presents

Well, in 4 days, I'll be 34 years old. They keep making fun of me at work that I'm finally getting old LOL Puppies are doing well, guinea pigs are doing well and we may have a buyer for one or two of them. I think our newest cat is preggers - which is good, we need some garage cats to reduce the HUGE numbers of mice that we have out here. We're well under way on Christmas preparations. I have ornaments made, we've started coating pretzels and marshmallows in chocolate, and we're planning to do more tomorrow.

LadyH, wishing you a speedy recovery! Dang girl, no more accidents, 'k? I love December! It's my birthday month and it's my turn to collect on all those friend's reciprocal b-day dinners throughout the year! S and I enjoyed a great road trip to play music for his parents' 60th anniversary celebration. We're really getting down to business with the contra dance music and our repertoire is filling out nicely. Helps a lot that I've been chasing all over Ca. to attend the season's special dances and getting inspired by the best of the best hot ticket bands. My new sub WaywardNephew and I are having a ball getting acquainted both in and out of lifestyle mode. He's on his way up again tomorrow. We have a fun-filled weekend planned of the Lighted Boat Parade and a ride out to the country for calamari (the best I ever had and strangely, in a one-road cow town.) He's going to teach me the Beatles' tune 'Michelle' on guitar as well as collaborate on some other tunes together using fiddle and guitar. This is also the weekend WN gets zapped-his first ever electro experience. He's an awfully good sport about letting me do all kinds of perverted and not-so-nice stuff to him...whatever it is, he just takes it all in stride. He gets an A+ for obedience, too. Long ago trained the friends and family members that for me the holidays were about hanging out with hugs, music and good food, not 'stuff'. Taking prezzies out of the holiday equation really makes the celebrations relaxing, connecting, and stress-free. You know, the way they're supposed to be! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and happy holidays to all!

Well, my December started off with a pleasant surprise: a job interview. I should know by next Wednesday whether I have a job! After 2 years of hunting, this would be a definite blessing. Malakk and I could finally start saving money to get our own place. Then, we wouldn't have to worry about keeping down the noise levels. ;)

well i go in a little over a week to find out what gender the UM to be is. The UM to be is healthy as ever with a heart rate of 150 this last check in and is now to the point of rolling and moving and kicking me. which the UM is up to right now. In other lands i have a stipend check from school comming soon for a whole whopping $921 that ill see of it, so YAHOO bills will be getting paid off. grades for school are doing soso i got a B in one class a C in another and a D in the third. Blessed Yuletide to all and ill be back to check in after i find out the UM gender.

I'm trying to figure out a way to avoid the hordes of holiday shoppers. Alas, I cannot cyber shop for everything. Otherwise, I've been industrious and all my holiday cards are ready to go. I'm not at all looking forward to my birthday at the end of the month, but the suffering should be mitigated by the fact that I've renewed a FWB relationship with a long-time friend. He and my husband get on very well. [:)] Other than that, the homeschooling adventure continues. It wreaks havoc with my social/kink life, but I'm not sorry I made this choice.

Add another to the group that is shocked that it's December. I still feel like we just moved here and it's been over six months. I'm seriously still adjusting to it. Unfortunately, I fell into the trap that a lot of folks do their first fall/winter after moving here. My vitamin D level (of all things) tanked and had a ripple effect. It's amazing how one little thing can jack you up. Thankfully, simple to fix. Just had to add some supplements to My diet and put in some different light bulbs. Sounds silly, doesn't it? Not a terrible lot going on for the kink front. There's a get together/play party that is happening next weekend, but I'm reserving the decision on attending until I know how much snow we will have. I could certainly use a good evening out for beating people and socializing. LOL. Not

I am almost done crocheting the blankets for each of the 8 grandchildren for Christmas. david will be collared next week, if all goes well. Still taking care of my cousin whose health is bad. That's all.
